The MOST delicious breakfast, bakery, and diner in Madison!!! Everything as ordered was gourmet; we want to try everything on the menu. Not to mention a small business owned by a small family with friendly and warm, welcoming service!!
UPDATE: I took my grandpa out to eat here to show him how delicious their food is, and, once again, I am thoroughly impressed. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The food was delicious!!
We really enjoy this place for breakfast and lunch. The French Toast and the Breakfast Tacos are both outstanding—some of my favorite breakfast items I've gotten anywhere. We've also enjoyed the sandwiches, soups, and salads we've gotten at lunchtime. We've also gotten the kids menu pancakes, the breakfast sandwich, and the coffee and those were all just okay. The coffee in particular is disappointing given that it's such a great breakfast spot. All of the pastries we've gotten have been pretty good, and they have some unique flavors. Oh, and if you get something with fresh fruit, the fruit is actually fresh and good quality! We keep meaning to go back and try the enchiladas.
The food was good and great service. My sister eats here and really likes it. But today was an off day. I had the pancakes and needed more syrup, but they ran out. They gave my sister the wrong meal and then came back 20 minutes later with the right one. Since my sister is a fan, I'll give them another chance. There is a .75 fee to use a credit card.
Amazing enchiladas. First time being there and definitely not be my last. Portion sizes are decent and prices are in line with the portion size. Great food!
It's the best cafe I've been to in this area bc it checks all my boxes and has nostalgia. In the morning it's full of hipsters, but the pastries are enticing and the coffee is affordable. After 4 tho, all the [white people euphemism] are long gone. There's crying kids running around. It's fantastic, really, feels just like home.
And the food is good too, they don't skimp on the slaw. Very excited for the menudo.
