Have lived here 3 years. MadeSo many friends.
I have found Park Glen to be very friendly and caring. Stephanie has been supportive of all of us, and has interesting activities for us. The grounds are very large and spacious. Well kept up. Every apartment has a nice view, with trees and lawn. We have catered dinner & pot lucks, and other food related activities. The only draw-back is that I have put on eight here, but that’s my own fault!
Park Glen Commons is such a wonderful property, and we were grateful that a unit was available for my brother-in-law to rent. The spacious floor plan and generous amenities were exactly what were wanted. The scenic setting was a plus, especially because of its convenient location and proximity to stores & restaurants. Besides being well kept, beautiful place to live, we also felt it was a safe and friendly community for our loved one, and never worried about his security and safety while he resided at Park Glen Commons. Our family also wants you to know how very grateful we are for all the help Stephanie provided, and how comforting it was for my brother-in-law in a home setting as opposed to a hospital or nursing home for his last days. Stephanie is truly a person that cares about a person’s feelings & dignity, and his final days were exactly what we had hoped for, as he was able to be completely comfortable and pain-free as possible in the comfort of his own home. We can’t thank her enough for that.
Experts tell us that seniors need to socialize (along with exercise, a good diet, playing games, etc). One of my favorite ways to socialize at Park Glen is the Friday morning breakfast. Stephanie, our manager, graciously works with our small committee to plan the monthly menu and then purchase the items we need to create a varied and hopefully nutritious breakfast every Friday morning. But, the main point of that hour together is to sit and visit, get to know new residents, and just enjoy being part of a community.
