This is a beautiful inn with all your comfort in mind. Even the smallest item was not overlooked including a small step to help short people like me enjoy the wonderfully comfortable bed. Staying here turned an otherwise ordinary weekend into a true getaway. The hosts were friendly, knowledgeable, and great cooks. Mt Horeb and surrounding area is fun to explore and this inn is one of the highlights. Thanks so much for a peaceful, rejuvenating stay.

I have stayed at about half a dozen bed and breakfast in America. This is the best one. The hosts are very dedicated, attentive and hospitable. They responded to email promptly throughout my reservation process. Rob gave me a nice introduction of the place and my room after I checked in to ensure that I was well settled in. It is an old house but the property was well-maintained and nicely decorated. I stayed in the Garden Room on the first floor. It is tastefully decorated. There are a lot of attention to details. For instance, because the door is an old wooden heavy sliding door, there is a curtain to cover the room entrance also for privacy so when I chose to step out to relax in the lounge or living room or just grab water from the fridge, I could leave the room door open without bothering to close the sliding door. Even though the sink in the bathroom is a pedestal sink, there is a small table to put my toiletries. Another great thing is how they serve breakfast. First, they have a menu of items for guests to select the day before and the serving time of breakfast is flexible, so guests can choose to start their day at any time instead of everyone making it to the table at the same time and just asking the guests for their dietary restriction in the reservation. The quality of the breakfast is quite good too. The house is large and there is a lot of space for guests to relax: living room, patio and another lounge with a nice bay window. This bed and breakfast is within walking distance to downtown Mt Horeb and also an easy half an hour drive from Madison. I highly recommend staying here over staying in a Bed and Breakfast/Inn in Madison, which is much more expensive and may not be the same quality. The hosts are friendly and I enjoyed their conversations.

After 2 times of having to cancel we finally made it for a one night stay. Very clean! Bathroom in our room was very modern and good size. Not over done on the antiques as some B&Bs can be. Owners are truly nice. Breakfast was great. Menu options were all appetizing. Easy walk to downtown. Plan enough in advance for your stay.

The best B&B of any we have been to in a decade or more. The innkeepers have an easy, welcoming nature. The grounds are beautiful, the decor is fun and carefully done, with lots of historic food containers. Breakfast is substantial, and they have many options to meet a variety of needs and preferences. I appreciated that coffee and tea were available throughout the day. It is an easy walk into the Mount Horeb downtown, and also to some of the trail entrances to Stewart Lake County Park.

Jill and Robert allowed us to book a very last-minute stay. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs, including a fantastic vegan breakfast (our request). I loved their homemade granola and compotes. My partner especially enjoyed some sautéed vegetables provided by Jill. The house was beautiful and the bed in the garden room was quite comfy (I believe it was a balance of a firm mattress with some memory foam near the top). There were so many little extras here to keep us comfortable. Highly recommend!
