Our group of quilters has been going to Prairie Star since they opened. We love it, accommodations are awesome as are the hosts, Laura and Vern! ❤️❤️❤️
I spent three nights at the lodge with a group of 12 quilting lady friends. The setting is beautiful! The lodge is equipped with every tool needed to prepare meals for a crowd, and workstations for 14. Vern and Laura greeted us and helped carry in our things and get us situated. They were warm and accommodating, and offered their cell numbers for any needs. Downtown Monroe is close and has a farmers market on Saturday mornings, and cute shops and restaurants. Our stay was perfect, and Vern and Laura even offered to help load our vehicles for our departure. While it was my first quilting retreat and I have no comparison on that angle, I’ve stayed in a variety of short-term rental properties, and this one is top-notch!
This is by far the most luxurious place that I have been to for a crafting retreat. It is a gorgeous and fully equipped lodge. The owner's, Laura and Vern, are the nicest and most accommodating hosts. This lodge is clean, comfortable and very homey and the crafting area is fully equipped and roomy with huge tables and comfortable chairs and great lighting. Try it, you'll be glad you did!.
