Doctors Park

A great place for lake views, beach, hiking, short walks or summer swimming. It's a steep walk to and from the beach. Also during the summer bring bug repellent. Not a place to drag 100 lbs. of stuff to the beach. Pack light and enjoy the beauty.

Also heard owls at dusk on our last visit.

I first visited for the traveling beer garden, but this really became one of my favorite parks in the MKE area. There is a large grassy area up top, and then a great little descent down the hillside to the lake, where the tall tress, gnarled roots, and steep descent make you forget you are in a flat part of the state.

Down by the lake the beach is very rocky, but you have a great, peaceful view of the water, and if you keep walking you run into the Audubon Center (no pets allowed).

There are also all kinds of neat old concrete water breakers jutting out into the lake.

No beach left hardly. Boo.

Beautiful walk down to the beach, mix of rocks and sand on the beach. Kids loved it
