Franklin Savanna

I found out about this land on eBird and since there were only 4 visits logged in the past 8 years, I just had to check it out if possible. There are NO signs anywhere designating this as park land, so you have to do some research first and pay attention to where you're going. Park by the road, and walk about 150 yds through waste deep grass between to farmed fields to the woods. Walk another 75 yards to the east and there you will find a wide path, probably for farmers initially, and that's where you can enter the woods. The trail splits off to the right and will meander through the property. There are numerous creek/brook crossings via small rocks, large trees, deep woods flowers and mushrooms, and plenty of birds. The bugs were thick the day I was there in July, so cover up!
