First free day of the year. Check website for other monthly free days. There is no free parking on Blue mound Rd, only on side streets, meaning it's a hike back to the zoo entrance. Parking is $15.00. Basically, you grab a map & walk the zoo grounds. Lots of exercise & fresh air. Very few animals on display except in the buildings; bats, fish,& monkeys. Bathrooms open throughout the zoo, & the main cafeteria is open. Zoo gift shop is open. Not many people/families visiting. 😷 are required. Because there weren't many people there, you are able to get close to the informational signs by the animal enclosures and really read them& learn some interesting information.
Milwaukee Public Museum is a great place to visit if you live in Wisconsin no doubt! Largest in the state, and always upgrading. The elephants new exhibit looks amazing. If you do some research you can always find FREE days! We take advantage whenever possible.(still have to pay for parking!) Will be back soon
Went here on a whim and we loved it! Great weather and lots to see! There were plenty of people yet it was not crowded. The gentleman in the Fish, Frogs and Reptile exhibit was the best! He offered so much insight and really amazing facts/information about a fish we were in awe of. We were inspired to do more research on it once we arrived home. We truly appreciate him and look forward to learning from him again on our next visit!
Love this zoo. Love all the animals. Staff really cares about animals and zoo. We have the membership. Nice to go each weekend even if it's just for an hour to walk outside during the warm months especially. Doing a really good job with health and safety. So happy to see the animals we haven't seen in such a long time.
