A great paved walking trail! Very well maintained and full of flowers. Sometimes St Francis library will set up a storybook walk with very cute stories which just adds to the amusement and pleasure of walking on this trail
Great place for a leisurely walk to enjoy grassland birds, butterflies, flowers and more.
We walked for 3 miles on the Nojoshing Trail for the first time today. Some of the trail is paved, other parts are covered by wood chips, the rest of the paths are unimproved. There were few people we met. Some were walking dogs. Two were riding mountain bikes. The trail meanders over large fields and wooded areas. A part of the wooded area contains a small, old Catholic cemetery, mostly for church workers. The trail borders property owned by the archdiocese. Some of the wooded area is old growth forest.
It was fun and great for kids. It had maps very frequently. It also had a book on the trail split up into different signs and questions to go along with each page. In all it was a fun experience, would go back again.
It's a nice little walking trail. Has some auxillary paths to walk on.
We also have the beautiful Nojoshing trail which starts right behind the Civic Center and ends on Lake Drive with views of the Lake. ... (414) 316-4323 Cell: (414) 335-0434. Mailing Address: St. Francis Civic Center ... St. Francis, WI 53235 (414) 481-2300.
