“I usually just go here for the gas using my card. I did go inside once and the attendant lady was extremely NICE! those who see rudeness maybe brought it in with them. I have to say that after one fill-up, my gas mileage actually improved. Not sure how.”

You get a brilliant view of the falls plus get to enjoy the water flowing as you stand below. The kids love the place as they build small forts with the stones or play with small pebbles and rocks.”

“Made nice walking trails through it. Shillberg is actually the last name of the owners that bought that portion of town, used family savings and bought it for approximately 30 cents an acre and farmed it. The Art barn was thier farm. The son used to be my neighbor.”

“The Inn got new ownership in March 2021 and it is fantastic. The owners are very friendly and pay special attention to all the little details for their guests. The hotel is clean and beautiful. The beds all have new mattresses and are very comfortable. The view is to die for. The breakfast room looks out over the River and it is lovely! There are lots of places to lounge in the hotel, and the house is old and luxurious. Beautifully constructed and has been well maintained by the new owners. I took my mom here for Valentine’s Day and they put a fresh rose in our room as well as fresh bouquets in the breakfast room. Chocolate covered strawberries were served at breakfast and we had a lovey chat with the owner about the history of the building (my mom and I are both enamored with century homes). All in all, I would say this was one of most luxurious and relaxing hotels I have ever stayed at and my mom thought the same. The price is great for this experience. I almost don’t want to post this review so as to keep this my secret get away from the cities, but the owner was so nice and dedicated to the hotel, I just had to share!”

“Had a medical emergency with my 5 month old kitten buttons over July 4th weekend called Sunday they called me the very next day even though they were not open that day. The young women was very friendly and helpful brought her in the very next day to be observed and had her back home that afternoon with meds,shots and a call from the doctor who explained everything ....very reasonable price for the emergency and will be bring her back for her yearly exams..”

“This a phenomenal locally owned & operated company. We met Sue about 6 years ago on a VERY cold Wisconsin February day. My wife loves to look at houses, even in -10 degree weather. Sue was so nice, gracious & very patient with us. She showed us houses for the next 18 months before we bought. We then had friends who were looking to buy in our sleepy little river town & we immediately recommended Sue & Jolene at Outdoors. Our friends got the exact house they wanted, only because of how quickly Jolene was on it. It's a beautiful old house on main street that would have sold very quickly. (Well, I guess it did because of Jolene. 😄). We've recommended them to other friends who have had the same experience. Jolene is licensed in WI & MN. There is no other realtor I will ever go to. I have dealt with others (before finding Outdoors) that only care about you until you sign on the dotted line. Jolene & Outdoors Realty are not like that. “I like dollar stores but this is not really a true dollar store more a discount store. They always have unique merchandise and some great sales. Also, they stay open later than a lot of other stores so if you like to shop later it is a great place to be able to go or if you need something last minute. In addition, they are a FedEx drop off location for returns and other things like that. So you just go to one of their locations and they scan it in and your package is processed, you get a text message, simple as that. Often the only place to find items that noone else carries anymore. However, they usually become a seasonal item at family dollar and are now packaged differently than the original item you feel in love with. Ex. My favorite candy as a child was those white square nougat Brachs made. You could buy them at the grocery in the bins that you scooped yourself and bagged. Now all you ever find them is around Valentine's day and they are round and come in a bag. I want the big square pieces back, that was part of what made it so good!!! Sometimes change is not for the good (often times not). They also have a large selection of food both packaged, and in the cold section.”
