“I hiked the Osceola loop through this area. They have done a nice job of removing the buckthorn from some areas allowing you views through the woods. The trail has a few signature points, a portion along a rock outcropping, a small portion on the bluff with a pretty limited view of the river this time of year. I saw a few spur trails that seemed to lead along the ridges of a few bluffs. I probably would have given this 3 stars until I walked through a sea of trout lilies, although none of them were in bloom.”

“Our family is forever grateful to Lonnie and her staff (HHA’s) for providing care to our 94 year old Aunt while she was dealing with a compression fracture in her back. She was dealing with pain and mobility issues, which we didn’t feel comfortable having her being alone. Also, due to the pandemic she, as well as family, did not feel comfortable with her going to any rehab facility to recuperate. So, we reached out to Spirit of the Heart. Lonnie and her team clearly understood & embraced our goal of maintaining safety & her desire to stay in her home during the transition to her previous level of independence and comfort. Lonnie was able to set up 24/7 care. This was very comforting to our Aunt & our family to know she was being well cared for and safe. Lonnie and staff were extremely qualified, compassionate, focused on goals and so friendly. Lonnie kept lines of communication open with our Aunt’s progress & would include us in all plans while moving forward. Lonnie was always readily available & quick to respond if we had any questions. Of note, our Aunt did achieve her goals, with the help of Lonnie & her staff and is back to her previous independence and doing well. Our family & Aunt highly recommend their services. :)”

“If all service stations convenience stores were like the Kwik Trip company, life would be much nicer. Kwik Trip does not have franchises - all are company owned. The headquarters is in La Crosse, WI, where employees are trained at an on premise station for employees only. Learning hiccups are kept in house! Food is prepared at headquarters and includes a wonderful array of mouth watering pies. You will always hear, "see you next time" when you leave.”

“I am thoroughly impressed with this coffee shop! I went for the first time and can’t believe I hadn’t gone before after being from the area. They had tons of cold and hot food options and a plethora of drinks to choose from. I went with the smoked salmon salad and was extremely impressed with the size of it and how fresh it was. My grandma had the turkey cranberry Brie sandwich and dang was that good too! Highly recommend an iced croix maple latte with oat milk and if you want something sweeter, the cookies and cream blender was amazing as well. Lots of indoor seating and a few tables outside as well. I really like how they’ve revamped the place. It was all ordering and picking up at the counter and they have online ordering as well that I might do next time. Oh and the chocolate chip cookies were amazing as well! Will definitely be coming back soon.”
