Happy Hollow Park

This is one of those hidden gems in our community. A beautiful quiet park along the river. There is no playground equipment and it is far away from any real neighborhood so there are no kids running and screaming. (Not that kids are bad at all. Sometimes you just need some place quiet.)

There is also a boat dock here that is not overly used. (There is a required fee to use the dock - payable on site)

There are outhouse style bathrooms that I have not used so I am not sure on if there is running water or not.

I also just realized that there some hiking trails but not sure how long they actually are.

Had a beautiful walk on the river. Enjoyed the last warm day in Wisconsin for 5 months. Trail was mowed nicely. I picked up the few pieces of litter I saw, so trail should be great for you.

It has nice trails, good riverfront for fishing in the Rock River, a boat landing and dock. Note the river is low right now so a little challenging to launch. It also has a picnic area, but no playground equipment.

Great park, as all Rock County parks are. Maintained every week by the public works staff. Has a boat launch, lake is good for fishing, or just paddling around.

Mosquitoes win...for now...still had fun! Bird listening is WOW. Many frogs. Horse trail. Is the water pump missing a piece? I hope to return..
