Spacious library with private study rooms, a large kids section, nice bathrooms and hosts many events as well as local art and displays. The lower level is an event space that is often used for art displays and local community events. There is a large room available on the main floor that is used for community classes. You can often find books for sale in the lobby that have been removed from the library rotation. There are always seasonal activities planned. The staff have always been kind and helpful and I have been going here for 20 years.
This is a great place to go!
Except THEY ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAYS, JUNE THROUGH AUGUST. I couldn't update it to say this other wise I would have!
Just a wonderful, inviting, friendly atmosphere that invites free education with open arms. A truly great resource for the River Falls Community.
They have a bunch of cool events and activities for kids and adults to enjoy. They were setting up for a musical performance as we were there this last Saturday. It sucks that their hours are so short, but they do a great job!
Wonderful library! I love it! The staff is also great. My sincere Thank you! to all of them. One suggestion: put signs in conspicuous places to remind people that silence is expected. A little noise is fine, but there are people having loud conversations, (which often include laughter and occasionally, foul language), for long periods of time. This happens a lot. I'm sure they don't mean any harm, but maybe they need to be reminded? Or maybe, it would be a good idea to reserve an area of the library for activities that generate some noise? Thank you so much for providing such a great place, where we can go to study and expand our horizons, regardless of our situation at home and financial background (you'd be surprised how hard it can be for some people to find a quiet place to study or just read). Knowledge is a great equalizer! This is definitely a wonderful use of our tax payer's money.
