“In operation for 50 years this is one of the longest running producers of natural baked goods in Madison if not the entire Midwest! Turn on the way back machine and think about hippies making bread - quick fast forward to today. The mainstay is small batch loaves made with organic wheat, my favorites are Cinnamon Raisin, Whole Wheat, and Light Oat. They also have other baked goods the best to me are Fruesli (European style date muesli) and the molasses granola. Show up early in the morning on a baking day and ask for bread "hot out of the oven", they will tell you it isn't ready -- but tell them you want it anyway - it is heavenly, on Tues/Thursday they have store returns at a great price, and finally it is take out only. During the “stay home orders” I came up with my own version of burger: Pretzilla bun and Beyond Burger; adding some hickory- smoked Gounda as well as some tomatoes and avocado.. but the Bun truly makes the whole difference!!! “Monica was SO easy to work with! We just wanted a small cake to cut for our wedding because we were doing ice cream and some other assorted desserts through our venue, but I LOVE wedding cake, so I needed to have at least a little one! Curtis & Cake knocked it out of the park with one of the most unique and beautiful cakes I've ever seen. I didn't give her a specific design, but rather an inspiration board of what our wedding vibes were and a few cakes that we liked, but I told her that we ultimately trusted her vision. BEST decision ever! The final design was totally unique and not just a replication of one of our inspiration photos, it was a true piece of art. I wish I had a photo of it to post with this review, but I'm still waiting on the photos! Anyways, don't hesitate to book Curtis & Cake for your dessert needs, Monica's cakes are beautiful and also soooo tasty! She has so many different flavor options, and the people we did share our little cake with all agreed it was one of the best wedding cakes they'd ever tasted. Even the non cake lovers were big fans!”

“This is a gem of a place in Milwaukee with great coffee and amazing treats! I had the chance to stop in today for a quick cup of coffee and great conversation with friends and loved it! This will be my new go-to place for small meetings or to grab my coffee to get me going in the morning. They have an amazing assortment of desserts, the peanut butter cookies are SO delicious and they have cozy seating by a fireplace that makes me feel like I’m at home. “I have been searching for a baker that makes bread that tastes like what I grew up eating. I think I finally found it. It's not exactly the same, I think the yeast is a little different maybe, but it's so close. It seriously brought back memories of my grandparents that I forgot were even there. “Beautiful cake!! We recently used Sweet Tooth Milwaukee for our two tier wedding cake. The cake was absolutely perfect. Brianna captured the exact look that we were going for. We don't have our wedding photos back yet, otherwise I would post a photo to show how gorgeous the cake was. Gray ombre with a magenta cala lily.
