“There is something magical and heartwarming about walking into Bronx River Books, a wonderful bookstore that opened in Scarsdale about two years ago. With the ease of ordering books from Amazon and other online retailers, we have seen many small booksellers close their doors. Which is why it is even more extraordinary that we now have a wonderful bookstore with a great select of books for adults, teenagers and children. The owners are knowledgeable and have helped me pick out books for many of friends who have very eclectic tastes. I feel we have a responsibility to support Bronx River Books. The owners really love helping their customers and just talking to them and browsing in their store can be inspiring and hopefully will motivate you to buy a couple of books!”

“Went here to find something for a Secret Santa gift. I got everything I could possibly need for my person (who loved the gifts) and more! Definitely will return to shop just for my self. It was a little overwhelming at first just for the sheer amount of STUFF they have. But after a while I was able to navigate and take it all in. Overall it's well maintained, clean, organizing materials could use a boost, but good. Good experience.”

“The parking was not an issue, since it's located in a shopping center. The ambiance of the store was awesome. It felt like as if I were in a regular bookstore, not Goodwill, because of the cleanliness and great store presentation. This store is small but they have a lot of books, and many of these books look like new or at least clean. I saw some nursing books, science and other textbooks in 1 bookshelf. I and my husband bought 4 books in this our first visit, and we will be back again when we want to buy more books. I also got a Kenny G CD for less than $2. The prices of the stuffs here are outstanding!”

“I was helped by the owner on this visit. Previously I have also met another employee who was also helpful. This store offers a standard trade policy and likes to buy back books that it's sold previously. This store especially needs large print books, if that is relevant for you. I am usually searching for romance books and contemporary fiction. I have found plenty of both at this location. There are also plenty of the types of books my husband prefers (drama of the spy or military variety). This reviewer wishes this shop had evening hours, but otherwise likes it.”

“Great place to find smart and interesting games, that have a table set up where you can try some of the games. My friend stayed there for a couple of hour had more fun than Main event. If your looking for a place to have fun and not spend to much money its great. I did end up buying 2 game. One called Spot It and the other Déjà vu. Now I bring keep the games in my bag and play them whenever we have time. Its always a good experience.”
