“We had never been there before that day. The park was lovely eventhough that day the temperature was 103 in the park that day. Since it was a funeral in the open air the heat was one more bad thing in an already bad day. “Alvarez funeral home absolutely went above and beyond my expectations in assisting my family with funeral arrangements for my grandfather. Ernesto was courteous and informative, and never made me feel like he was trying to upsell services compared to what other funeral homes quoted me. Pricing was extremely fair- one of the most economical choices compared to other funeral homes in the northern NJ area. When it came to the day of the service- Jorge was the person assisting us, and I cannot begin to mention what a relief it was to be helped by him. Jorge went above and beyond to help us get everything set up, was present and available to everything we needed help with during the service, and very kindly ushered family and friends out just a tad early when it came time for our services to come to a close so that immediate family could have some private final moments with my grandfather before they sent him off. I am not going to lie- I was a bit hesitant and worried because pricing seemed too good to be true and per previous reviews but I could not be happier with how the services turned out. I cannot speak to how every employee who works at this funeral home may be but by the service I received from Ernesto and Jorge I can highly recommend both of them. Thank you Alvarez Funeraria!”
