“This is the finest vintage/antique store in Richmond I've ever come across. The selection is discerning yet fairly priced. Since my interests lie mostly in vintage/antique Asian items, if you are interested in them as well I can say that they have a very impressive selection of Chinese and Japanese wares. When I went today for the first time, there were several examples of vintage hand-painted Japanese "soba-choko" Imari/Arita, the cups used to dip soba noodles into their cold broth. I informed him of my area of interest and he enthusiastically showed me a recent acquisition - a gorgeous ink stone with a dragon motif (I think it's Chinese, but I'm not sure). I should mention that the owner is incredibly warm and kind and will most assuredly help you with anything you need. Even if you are more interested in Western items, you're in luck because that is mostly what they carry. I absolutely can’t recommend this place enough!”

I showed up to Thrifty Trendz not realizing it was by appointment only but Juls the owner just happened to be there and she let me in. I was so impressed by her collection. I bought a cute vintage leather ottoman. I had previously bought some other pieces from another shop with intentions of shipping it to myself. She offered to ship it all together. “I loved, loved, loved this market. Everyone that worked there were so pleasant. You don’t find that often anymore. EVERYONE we met were happy, they loved helping and talking about their products. People want to get out, people want to live, and to be able to support their families. This market is only open on the weekend but, I think it was worth the drive and I loved the things that I purchased. Someday when I buy a house I know the places I will be going back to purchase items, and this is one of those places. We did ended up buying pool table balls( loved those people) cat & dog toys, cloths, Christmas decor and kitchen gadgets. I WOULD highly recommend!”

I shopped around looking for a specific spout for my bathtub — the part was on a massive list of Delta back-orders that weren’t being fulfilled until next year. This was the ONLY plumbing supply showroom in all of New York City, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester that had this spout. Their price matched online prices including tax and the items as packed perfect and never opened. I walked in five minutes before close and they sorted me out in 10. 5/5 stars for service. 5/5 stars for showroom. The showroom is WILD. They had faucets I’ve never seen before of varying quality. I would say this business carries more high-end items. A true hidden pluming gem. You would never know how massive of a showroom it is for the location.”
