Went to go see a screening of 2022’s new Top Gun: Maverick, staff were helpful, attentive and kind, everyone there was super kind and obeyed the rules, helped me park my car correctly. View of the screen was immaculate, and audio was completely clear. It was even more comfortable than a night at a normal movie theater. If you wanna bring your friends or family, this is the place to go. If I were much closer you bet I’d be back super often”

“My kids and I have been coming here to Joy-Lan and the sister location Silver Moon for almost 9 years now. We love it. It is our favorite thing to do when we plan a night out. We come in our pajamas and order a pizza and large popcorn and on occasion an ice cream from the concessions. You get one free refill on the large popcorn and the perk to this location is you get a little coupon so you don’t have to get the refill in the same night. The concessions are better priced than any theater around and we love supporting it to keep it going. We enjoy the double movie feature. And as a mom I enjoy that if my kids want to talk, make noise or move around we aren’t bothering anyone around us.”

“12/07/2021 This is my first time at this theater. I tried to use the kiosk to purchase my Regal Crown Club ticket for King Richard and was unable to complete the transaction. So I had to go to the concession stand to purchase the ticket. The theater had one couple in it and myself. Throughout the movie a staff member kept checking the theater and the side door that was locked, which was kinda intrusive and distracting. It was cold in the theater despite me wearing my winter coat. The seats were the older style and not very comfortable. The picture and sound quality of the movie was fine. The restroom was very clean and kept stocked.”

“We love Alamo Drafthouse. By far the best movie theatre in Denton! We always enjoy the movie themed clips they play before the movie. It is adorably decorated, friendly staff, clean and super comfortable chairs! The food is really tasty but is unfortunately a bit over priced. I wish it was more affordable! Especially the sodas. Even though this is consistent across all movie theaters for being over priced, $6 for a soda is a bit outrageous. Their unlimited popcorn for $10 is a good deal though. We typically just get waters and popcorn. We got the movie passes for the month of July and it was awesome being able to see as many movies as we wanted for $20 a person (plus processing fees). Very happy to have an Alamo Drafthouse in Denton and hope to see it successful for many years to come.”

“This was my second time going to the theater. The first time I checked out the 4DX theater. This time I wanted to check out the ICE theater. This was my first time experiencing this technology, so I was really curious to see what the overall effect of the panoramic panels would be like during the movie experience. First, the picture quality and sound quality in the ICE theater is top-notch! The seats are nice and plush with a little wiggle room. The panels essentially match the color theme that’s presented on the screen. It extends the image with blurred colors. After watching the movie for a while, the effect wears off. It’s like watch a 3D movie. After sometime, you loose the impact. It’s an interesting technology, but the novelty of it wore off pretty quickly. I doubt if I will go out of my way to see another movie in this format. I would much rather see a 4DX movie instead. Overall, the theater is really nice. Unfortunately, because it’s downtown you will likely have to pay for parking. So, with the tickets being a little bit more expensive in this location for the movie and with parking, your bill can add up pretty quickly. This is why I wouldn’t give if 5 stars. Also, on my previous visit the 4DX theater didn’t appear to be fully functional. Some of the special effects I’ve experienced in newer theaters was missing.”

Seating is comfortable enough, everything looks cared for and cleaned up. Won't be the best theater experience, but it's not like we are the Dells or Madison. So if you're expecting the best audio/visual/comfort, try lowering your expectations. TL;DR: Movies 16 is exactly what you'd expect and is more than capable of providing an environment for a fun outing with friends or family, or just a way to get out of the heat for a few hours of entertainment and popcorn. 🍿”

“Front and center: It's not the best, but it's special. The experience you get is well above the discount pricetag. Not much has been updated at this theater since it was built in the 90's, however at this point with it running as a discount theater this is actually a feature. Lots of quality neon and a vibe that's becoming increasingly more and more unique/rare (especially with the loss of the Hopkins Mann). The seating is dated, but again it fits with the vibe and is complemented with modern projection and sound systems. All of the employees, while understaffed, were very helpful and were doing everything they could to make my visit special. It's no high-end AMC, but probably the best value you'll find in the MSP metro.”
