Buttonbush Nature Area

Address: 3314 Sunton Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, USA

Park

“Narrow nature area between North Oaks and Fox Fire communities. This is a new park as of March 2020 and has very little trail work completed. It is comprised of mature oak-hickory forest with a slow moving creek. My kids, age 3 and 7, love exploring the nature area; discovering animal tracks, observing the rise and fall of water levels in the creek, and generally enjoying being in nature.”

Peterson Community Garden

Address: 205 Hutto St, Hutto, TX 78634, USA

“The Peterson Community Garden is growing under great leadership from the Keep Hutto Beautiful Foundation and its dedicated board of directors and volunteers. Keep an eye on this space as a master plan is developed and the space grows to both be an incredible asset to the community and a tribute to Curtis Peterson and the History of Hutto.”

IC DeHart Memorial Park

Address: 2631 Charity Hwy, Woolwine, VA 24185, USA

Park

“Fun little park near a cabin we stayed in recently. One of the few parks we could find in the area that wasn't blocked off due to COVID, and a favorite. Perfect size for a little one, with swings, slides, a sandpit, and monkey bars. Plus the fire engine. 😊 The pavilion was empty the two times we visited, as were the fields and playground. The park has a small paved area to walk, and appears to be somewhat accessible for those with wheelchairs or strollers. Also some nice trailheads, but watch for ticks. Was a little bit in disrepair in a few areas (there's a set of wooden stairs near a trailhead that appears to be falling apart and the fire engine was missing one steering wheel), but was still nice. There are several seating areas. Has public restrooms. Weirdly, the women's restroom was locked but the men's wasn't when we visited. 🤷‍♀️”

Mammies Metal Art and More

“We stayed in one of the cabins while we were being evacuated for a fire. I was very happy to see the cabins had AC, mini fridge, and microwave. I had booked 4 nights but after the first night we ended up being allowed to go home. The person at the front desk very kindly refunded the 3 nights that we didn't stay. I really appreciated their kindness and would definitely stay here again.”

7 Sisters Springs

Address: 8600 W Miss Maggie Dr, Homosassa, FL 34448, USA

Park

“The beautiful and unique Seven Sisters Springs is a group of cavernous tunnels in the Chassahowitzka River in Homosassa, Florida. Only a few feet below the surface, the tunnels are connected in groups of two or four, and visitors can swim from one entrance to another under a tunnel. It is absolutely serene but make sure you're well covered so not to endure bug bites.”

Kiddie Park

Address: 106 W Lake Mary Ave, Lake Mary, FL 32746, USA

Park

“Easily one of the best parks around for toddlers. My kid loves that he can play freely and because it's the perfect size, it boosts his confidence to be more independent in doing things and trying to do a lot on his own. Absolutely recommended for toddlers and parents that want to give their kid that encouragement to do things on their own. The natural coverage of the tree is amazing too, the sun can be pretty extreme but having the shade from the tree really helped cool me and my kid off when we needed a break.”

Wildwood RV Park & Campground

Address: 20078 Lake Blvd, Shafer, MN 55074, USA

Campground Rv park Lodging Park

“5*++++ We visit every year with our extended family as a tradition and make the best kind of memories. Great family fun for all ages. There is plenty of space, clean facilities, water and electrical connections, showers, and a pool to cool off on the hot summer days. Our kids just loved the new selection of sensory toys, donuts, and other thoughtful essentials that were added for sale at the lodge this year. Good old-fashioned American camping experience down to the ghost stories, campfires, and yard games. A definitive chance to unplug from typical screen time, and the everyday hustle & bustle of life relaxing in the woods. Can't say enough about the venue.”
