“Kids love this place. There are water sections where kids can play around. There are sound sections, and a lot of science stuff which kids and also adults enjoy. It is definitely a place I would recommend. Don't spend too much time in one section, move on to the next and next section because there is a lot to explore. I would recommend that you do the water section last.”

“Beautiful spot to camp with friends and family. Our family of 4 was in a tent and our friend's family of 4 were in a tent trailer. Spot 9 is the best spot if you have kids because it has a large space and is right next to the vault toilet (which was kept up pretty nicely). The kids loved exploring the creek that ran through the middle of the campground as well as the large boulders. Great memories made!”

“Beach Park was a wonderful time with family and memories are always made. A new feature they provide is an updated boat dock to pull up and tie off. Beach was clean. The park was fun. Charcoal Briquets got hot. Bathrooms were full and out of sanitizer. Humans were kind. Please, remember to pick up your garbage. Clean up after kids and pets. Lastly, always respect Mother Nature. ✨🤍✨ 6/16/2023.”

“Drove by Tillman Road Wildlife Park and felt compelled to check it out. It is generally an easy walk for most (not wheelchair or handicap friendly). There are some inclines with loose gravel / sand along with some narrowing trails. It was dry when we went, as there hasn't been any measure able rain in a month. I could see low spots that would make a hike more of an adventure, if the ground was wet. There is ample parking and it was not very busy. Quite a few people had dogs. There are signs saying they must be "leashed". There are a couple small lakes (ponds). It is unique and certainly worth checking out. Its not too big and using Google maps you can see most of the trails (as they are not marked). Some of the trails could use trimming and some of the wood (especially on some of the bridges) that are in need of repair. Some of the signage for birds etc, are worn or are missing pieces. Otherwise it's a nice trail / wild life area.”

“Nice little neighborhood park. Clean, restrooms are actually open. Tables and grills that havent been vandalized. Nice big playground and little dog area. It is next to a elementary school so do expect it to be full around 2 or 3 pm. Overall a nice park for a fast walk and to spend time with your family.”

“This is a large city park with many picnic areas, hiking trails, a farm with animals, and fishing ponds. It is well kept and not very busy. I really like the farm animals, especially the unusual chickens. The farm pond is a nice touch. They also have a nice garden in the summer with lovely flowers and vegetables.”

“This place is very beautiful and in my opinion the best way to get around and enjoy its beauty is on a bike. Weather you bring your own or rent a city bike at the entrance. The only down side was the lock of drink/food places, it looks like they currently have this part of the park under construction. An alternative would be to bring your own drinks/food. My boys and I had a great time riding the city bikes all around and enjoyed the beautiful views very much.”

“This is a quiet little state park I just realized existed. I came here for a special geocaching challenge that the Rangers set up. Not a lot of people here, so it was very peaceful and quiet – as relaxing as I was hoping it would be. There's also a small campground, and quite a few people in there today. I could not find a trail map, and the one on my phone wouldn't load a great deal of the time, but I quickly found out the trails are very easy to navigate. I took a side trail out of curiosity, and ended up standing in the parking lot where my car was. For the most part, it is accessible to all. There is what appears to be a hiking, or just walking, trail along the road, the whole way. I didn't see many people hiking, but the cyclists use the road.”

“A nice park for biking and some walking, didn’t think it was the best for a stroller or wagon with a toddler... the location lends it to being quite windy and the noise from the traffic overwhelmed my son. They do have a playground that has slides suitable to toddlers which is great.”

“What a fantastic find here with a really nice little museum with historical displays and free admission. Lots of pamphlets, tourist brochures and some freebies too. Could have spent more time here but was travelling north to Seatac and was on a relatively tight schedule.”

“South Lido Beach has become my family's favorite beach in the Sarasota area. It's improved drastically from when I was a youth. Lots of white sand, plenty of parking, and a newer restroom tower make it easily accessible. Also, there are a good number of shells that wash up on the beach so it's fun for the kids to go beachcombing while we're there. There are multiple picnic tables and space for gatherings.”
