“I understand why they added more parking spaces. A lot of folk's commute using the train here during the work week. *** There is a promotional $10 ticket pass to ride the train for two full days " Saturday & Sunday " only. Unlimited ride's on all the commuter trains where ever they take you to. This is to try and get folk's on the empty weekend trains.”

“Holbrook Randolph is a very good commuter rail t stop. It runs pretty much on time and the parking here is extremely good you can park about 25 yards from the gate when it's raining. The early morning schedule into Boston works well they have a couple trains within a half an hour of each other so if traffic slows you down you can still make it there.”

“Lovely station! I love that it is completely surrounded by Nature and not surrounded by those nasty fumes of cars on the highways.”

“Adequate parking except in the Winter when MBTA contractors typically pile up snow in the much needed parking spots, further limiting the places. Forces commuters to vector over to Ferry. Otherwise, salted properly, clean with no graffiti.”

“Did the Santa train ride Dec '16. First class staff and a neat operation for what it is. The train does travel slow, 5 mph. I personally think its because of the age of the train cars, track condition, rural railroad crosses, but the folks on the train say its because people are up walking around. The train cars are old. One is from 1898, and that's cool, but the other are just uncool old cars. The Santa ride was 2 hours roundtrip and we didnt make it all the way to Ottawa. If our youngest likes trains we'll probably come back once for him when he's older but other than that I don't see us coming back. It was neat to do once, just know what it is before going.”

“A nice clean train station. There is no agent. So you must purchase tickets on the ticket machine that's inside. You can also purchase tickets from the train conductor once your on the train. (Cash only!) There platform at track level is very nice and has rain shelters. The platform is officially 300 ft long on both sides and offers plenty of space due to this. There is a soda machine, snack machine and a coffee/hot chocolate vending machine on site. The station is located in a nice section of town and is within walking distance to the Sturtavant Marcus theater on Hwy 20. Parking is $7.00 for as long as you want to park within reason. But be warned, that after 30 days, you must remove your vehicle. Otherwise it may be towed after the 30 day parking limit. And police do regularly inspect the parking lot.”

“In a very piecefull area. Hastings is also an interesting Station. I like suspicious and mystical things so I would like to visit Hastings in the morning time again some point and interact with the people that use this Station to see what it is used for. Grate station, although it is very unsafe because if the rocks uneven and also there is nothing there that indicates it is a station, it seems like the MBTA didn't want to build anything there so they just put up a sign saying something about standing back which is the only recognisable clue that that area is a station. but otherwise good station.”

“Parking is limited. It fills up early, especially on rainy days. I find there are no spots left after 7:45am. Beautiful neighborhood. No facilities, just an empty stone building for shelter.”

“Very nice facility here. It's easy to purchase tickets at the kiosk. You can choose either one way or round trip. The nice lady Sun Rail attendant explained with round trip you get your taps on your ticket ( a tap is each time you board or deboard the train). If you wish to add a stop on your way back, just get off the train where you want, then you can buy a one way ticket from there.”
Address: 401 S Columbia St, Dwight, IL 60420, USA
“I miss the former Dwight station with its neat old stone structure from up the track but this new building is well-lighted, has two individual restrooms, some seating inside along with a table for standing in front of the window and a table available for people in wheel chairs. Outside is pleasant with lots of seating. There is free parking, although in busy travel seasons the lot gets fairly full.”
