“Great place to take kids or nephews/nieces. Gives you a family vibe and a more down to earth experience with a handful of simple farm animals. Been going here since I was a kid myself, soon to be taking my own kids here! Nice place to take a blanket and have a picnic after touring the animals. Don’t forget to go inside the caboose!”

“Great place on the weekends for a family day. Pony rides for $5. You can rent horses for $55 per hour, there's a lake where you can rent a bicycle boat and start pedaling a Orange County Zoo for the kids and a safe place to walk. Is it someone's birthday? there are barbecue grills, parking is $5 per car but in general this place is just the safe that is a key thing”

“We were surprised by the size of the enclosures and the healthiness and diversity of animals as well as the large enclosures which blend well with the nature of the area! Very lively animals, beautiful location. Wheelchair and stroller friendly, family friendly with many amenities for children. Free admission yet they could charge $10 in admission and it would be worth it. The animals are very obviously in excellent care and the zoo helps in animal conservation and preservation.”

“There is a bit of variety with this reptile and amphibian house. From lizards, to turtles/tortoises, and everything in between. My personal favorites are the poison dart frogs. Definitely worth a look!”

“Blink and you might miss the animals here! It's better to look for most of these guys when the weather is cooler, as a lot of them are not warm weather friendly. The foxes and lynx can usually be found sleeping on the platforms in their enclosures. The porcupines are usually trying to get into the doors inside their enclosure.”

“This place is a great alternative to a big city zoo if you find yourself in the area! Very down-home feel and a great drive through the preserve. Staff are very excited to help and always showed passion. Great price too!”

“For a free zoo, this aviary is pretty decent. While it doesn't have the variety that the Philadelphia Zoo has, it still has a pretty decent variety of birds. Wearing a hat isn't a bad idea, as the spoonbills nest overhead and tend to poo all over the walkway through the aviary. LoL. If you or someone in your group doesn't like loud noises, you might want to avoid this building as the birds can become quite noisy and the squawking can be rather irritating. Sometimes the flamingos hang out in here, and the parrots can be found in their cages inside if they aren't in their outdoor areas.”

“This is a nice place to take the young kids. It's more of a petting zoo. There are animals there that are rescues that you cannot pet, such as the foxes, the turtle, the skunk, some of the birds. Apparently there are also alligators but we were unable to see them. There are ducks, chickens, geese, swans and roosters randomly walking around. There are donkeys Llamas, pigs, emus, vultures, Ravens, pigeons, pheasants, Turkeys, bunny's, ginea pigs, goats and sheep. Some you could feed and pet. Was a pretty awesome experience. There are more birds than anything. If your afraid of birds then this is not for you. We loved it.”

“A very cute and easy going place. Went on a Thursday morning and practically had the place to myself. Staff is friendly and helpful. Animals all look pretty healthy. There’s an awesome goat and sheep pen where you can go inside and brush all 50 of them. You can feed the cows and llamas hay. Lots of friendly animals to interact with. Also a mini golf course my 2 year old loved. Across the parking lot they have a pretty well stocked thrift store with furniture, and a kids play area with wooden structures. My daughter loved the airplane slide. There were puppies for adoption at the animal shelter. Also a restaurant on site! Overall would definitely recommend for an easy and affordable family outing!”

“A very educational place. It was our first time here. The level of care and affection between the animals and handlers was amazing. Any critics of the work done here, clearly do not understand the nature and the purpose of this place. Great work, fantastic presentation, I'd love to volunteer.”

“Cool place for me. It was cool to see adult size alligator, snap turtle, rattle snakes or reticulated python so up close. My husband is into reptiles so he was my tour guide which made it more interesting. Without someone explaining or answering questions, it might not be as interesting or educational.”
