“Michelle is wonderful, I still send her pictures of the miniature potbelly pig I got from them. Them have lots miniature animals on their farm and they are all just so cute. We love our little pig that we got from them. They were patient with me as I figured out when I could get over there and just very friendly”

“It was a great school trip. The zoo is doing remodeling so there was a lot of construction that was going on. The animals that were there were awesome to see. The kids and everyone there had a great time, and can't wait to see what new exhibits will come. The zoo was also setting up the lights for Halloween, which was really cool to see as well.”

“This was the perfect raptor tour. Our guides knew their stuff and gave clear and concise information about everything from husbandry to conservation. Not only that, they made efforts to know the names of participants, which is no small feat. There was plenty of time to take pictures and see these birds in action in their normal habitat. I left the tour excited to put what I learned into practice. I have already told all my friends about my experience and am encouraging them to join a tour soon; you should too!!! Thanks Sky Falconry for providing this wonderful space to be up close with these majestic birds on your beautiful property!”

“Very cute place! The only downside was many of the animals weren’t there- inside or outside. We did see TONS of turkey vultures, lemurs, snakes, turtles, emus, a rabbit, fish, cranes, marmosets, and turkeys. There were no river otters or deer and many of the cages were empty so I’m not sure what would be in them. My son was 3 so his admission was free and it was $6 I believe for an adult ticket which was an extremely affordable price. The land and walkways were beautiful. If there weren’t so many empty cages, I would have given 5 stars. Woman at admission desk was very kind and informative!”

“What a great place to visit! Kids will LOVE this as well as adults! Feed the alpacas, birds, turtles, rabbits, etc! Right from your hand! Plenty of stuff for kids with slides and a water fountain to get wet. Plenty of food and sodas to keep you there all day. The corn maze is actually simple IF you take the correct turns! 😉. They have hay rides!!!!”

“This is a very cute little zoo. Emphasis on little but for the price, it’s worth it. If you’re not going with children or anyone who walks slower, you’ll probably get through both sides of the zoo in less than 2 hours. You have to order your tickets in advance online. The petting zoo is so cute! The plus to this zoo is that because it’s smaller, less people were there for a Saturday over the summer so you got a nice view of all the animals. The downside was they don’t have a large variety of animals and about some of the animals weren’t in their section like the Bear.”

“We noticed some huge sheet metal sculptures from the highway, and decided to check it out. There is a $10 fee to enter the sculpture garden, but in exchange you get a small artwork to take with you, or a credit toward the purchase of a larger piece. There are works by seven different artists displayed. I was amazed, and glad we stopped by. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the prices are not posted, although it was interesting talking with the gentleman there about the artworks while getting the price information.”

“Came here on a Saturday around 3pm. Parking was $5 just right outside the main entrance and there were plenty of spots. Tickets that day were $18 for adult at the gate, and $17 if you buy it online. This zoo was pretty nice and was extremely family friendly. There were attractions for kids and adults so it's suitable for all age groups. A good variety of animals at this zoo. They had a petting zoo which was fun. I enjoyed the giraffes the most even though I did not get a chance to feed them. I enjoyed my time here.”

“A fun way to spend a few hours for any animal lover. Great for kids and adults as well. Birds, deer, kangaroos, alpacas, zebras, flamingos, etc. The little bird aviary is really cute. The goats are hilarious. I'd pay the admission fee just for the goats and birds....good for laughing.”

“No tickets needed. Very awesome experience for kids to see wildlife. The zoo area is kept very clean and maintained very well. All the animals looked happy and kept lovingly. Nice grand walk to the pond and lake. Tons of ducks to see. The kids playground too has updated everything and is a joy for the young ones and their elder guardians alike. Parking does get full but can park along the road.”

“It was a nice spot to go visit. There was a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch. A very large bounce area, Corn mazes, tractor bikes, a small petting zoo. Over all it was a good place to take my 2 year old to find her pumpkins. Only downside was the pumpkin patch tractor ride area was not labeled, marked clearly, so we stood around by the corn mazes by other people hoping it was the right spot.”

“We really enjoyed. buy 1 season ticket and you can walk at least every day. interesting dolphin and walrus show. Many animals. attractions for children were not all working, but we did not even have time to get around everything. Dragon Hill is a place for the brave. you can spend the whole day. we will definitely come again.”

“Where do I start? This place kept my jaw dropping from start till end. First off, the facilities are fantastic! Very high quality and you can tell the animals are cared for extraordinarily well! The employees/volunteers were the most welcoming people I’ve ever met! Lastly, the animals. I’ve never gotten up close and personal with so many exotic animals in my life. From mountain lions to sloths to kangaroos. I am so glad I was able to visit today and plan to be a long-time donor.”

“This zoo is a wonderful fixture in the community. We have lived here over a year now and have been members since our first week! The summer camps are great, lights are magical, the ice slide is a fun addition. We always get the experience package and definitely recommend the addition to the membership. We went to Noon Years Eve this NYE and everyone in our party had a blast. I lead a local Girl scout troop and our girls have been for the zoo sleepover as well as 2 day programs, everything we have had the opportunity to participate in has been great!”

“Alderleaf opened up many doors for myself, it was a life changing experience but the school is not for everyone, though sometimes i wish it was! Like many situations in life, what you put in is what you get out, and after two years as a student at alderleaf I am ready to take on the next chapter of my life and plunge forward in my studies at Western Washington University. I aspire an environmental career (park ranger), and my time at Alderleaf not only sets me apart from the rest but it drew me closer to our natural world and brought out my naturalist side in extraordinary ways. At this school we learn about permaculture, animal track and sign, ethnobotany, plant ID, forestry, ancestral skills, friction fire and wilderness survival skills to name a few. Alderleaf is a incredibly close-knit community that is very welcoming, but mostly inspiring. If you have a chance, explore their web page, watch some student testimonials and if your inspired, please take the plunge! for me, it was worth every penny and every sacrifice. I plan to always stay connected and be apart of this rich community!”

“The dinning area is really nice. Very family friendly. A little on the expensive side but not going to blow your budget. Didn't have many ice cream flavors at the moment but since it's close to summer that might change. Liked the gift shop, had tons of cute items such as: toys for kids, candy tons of candy, funny postcards, and tons of items to remember your trip to Traver. They had some animals: a llama, a goat, 2 donkeys, 2 chickens, a pig, 3 bunnies, 2 quails (I think),a parakeet?, and a PEACOCK 🦚!! The only thing I don't like is that you can't really interact with many of the animals, it's understandable for the safety of the children, but it would be better to get a little closer. Really nice area to spend a couple of hours with your family. I'm Carlos Dominguez, and I approve this message. 👌”

“Visited and it was the best experience ever to see those beautiful big cats close. To see the love and care they have for the animals. Amazing experience can't wait to go back. Animals are fed and well taken care of. The couple that does the tour very sweet and sociable. I highly recommend this place. Keep up the great job. Thanks for sharing your precious babies with us.”

“This was the best experience I have had at a farm. This is a extremely kid and family friendly. We had 15 children and 7 adults. We could pet every kind of animal they have. They are also very knowledgeable about there animals. The animals are extremely healthy and happy. Great place to spend the afternoon and bring a picnic.”

“If you are a local or just visiting from out of town, the National zoo is a must go-to location. They have a wide array of animals to sight see and interactive learning activities throughout the park. Entrance is free for everyone, but you should note you do have to download tickets before entering. You can bring your own food in, no alcohol is allowed in from outside but is sold within the park. As a local, I come here for the experience and also to walk when it is warm outside. Parking is slightly a hassle as you have to find parallel parking on the narrow streets of DC, the zoo also has parking but it is $30 per car. The shows are now back, which i really enjoyed this interactive bird show hole I was there. My only suggestions are removing the lines for indoor exhibits. Masks are not required nor is social distancing within the park, but they limit the amount of people in some of the indoor exhibits causing extensive lines which took about 15-20 minutes to get inside. Also, the bathroom facilities were not clean and did not have paper towels. Additionally, there was hardly an security and no one checking bags at entrance. Just a heads up I also went on Memorial Day weekend, in the morning there wasn’t much of a crowd but after 12 there were so many people it was difficult to walk. I would recommend during the weekday or coming at opening if you want less crowd. Overall though I had a wonderful experience and will be back.”

“Annual Autumn event for us. You pay $14.95 per person to go in the back section where all the farm animals and rides are. The front where the shop, cafe, mums and pumpkins are is free admission. In the area where you pay admission, you can feed goats, donkeys, sheep. They have a house with lots of baby chicks that you can hold. It's quite the highlight of the experience. There's a trainride for all. There's an area with blow-up football, basketball, and soccer activities. They also have a hayride, pony rides on the weekends, a simple corn maze, bounce houses for kids, and even an obstacle course for kids. There are pigs, chickens, roosters, turkeys, and a duck pond. Lovely place. They have a Pig Out Place to buy lunch as well, although not always opened on weekdays.”

“South Chagrin is my favorite of the Metroparks I've been to. Many trails, hills, fields, rivers and streams, ravines, picnic areas. Lots of shade. Wonderful for hiking, trail running, exploring nature with kids, and picnicking. Highly recommended!”

“Great experience! Really enjoyed this outing. We did the Macaw Free Flight and Falcon Experience. The view from the top of the hill where the birds fly, looking out over the valley is really nice. Seeing the birds fly free is just beautiful. A few (wild) hawks showed up too! Really enjoyed the tour. The guides are knowledgeable and really seem to want their guests to have a good time and enjoy learning about their birds. The whole experience comes with a friendly, low key vibe - very enjoyable. After seeing the birds in flight, we each got to hold a macaw and a falcon, and then walked back down the hill and had the opportunity to meet and interact with a few of the other birds on the premises. They have burros, goats and an alligator too! All the birds and other animals look great and seem very happy. Lunch at the Lake Wohlford Cafe on the way home is worth a stop too.”

“Wow wow wow. I LOVED this place. 100F heat and an hour long easy hike to see very cool wolves. Our tour guide was awesome. Funny story...in the gift shop I bought a "souvenir". Dream Catcher earrings. When I got back to the vehicle I saw the tag on the back "Made in Canada" Lol...I'm from Canada 😆😂😅”
