Bondy House Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I spent a week at Bondy House in August. We loved it so much we have booked another three nights just after Christmas.
Our hosts Carolyn and Merv made us feel very welcome. Breakfast began with fresh fruit and yogurt, croisants hot out of the oven, coffee, tea and juice. Our mains included eggs our way along with different bacon types and was served with a prettily designed fresh tomato display. Toast and cereal rounded it out.
Our room had an extremely comfortable queen size bed and a beautiful ensuite shower.
This was our base and we walked all over the area, coming back for tea and a rest before heading out again. Absolutely perfect spot right downtown across from the waterfront.

Just spent the week here and it was absolutely fabulous! Merv and Caroline made me feel comfortable and welcomed.

Great hosts, food, and location! Even though it rained, we still had so much fun. Can't wait until we can come back to visit!

1st time I have ever stayed at a B&B as I was wary about staying in someone else's home. Merv and Caroline are the owners and I founds them to be extremely nice and accommodating. I will stay there again next time we go down to Essex area. October and the weather was 20 deg C plus and my fiancee and I had breakfast on the front porch, it was wonderful. Thank you Merv and Caroline.

Beautiful immaculately restored Victorian home , Wonderful breakfast totally accommadating re diet restrictions , provided gluten free bread , greatly appreciated, beds & room VERY clean/pretty & VERY unique ensuite enclosure ( total privacy accomplished without sacrifice of space & light ) .LOVE the location , Perfect walk to restaurants, stunning parks & historic fort.
