Calamus Estate Winery

My wife and I recently got married at Calamus and we could not have chosen a better venue. The staff were amazing! They made the day smooth, easy and relatively stress free. The incredible food, gorgeous vineyard and late night stargazing made it a wedding people won't soon forget.

We fell in love with this winery years ago and decided to have our wedding here. From start to finish it was the most smooth process we have ever experienced. Not once as a bride was I stressed. Makayla made sure our day was perfect. The staff during the wedding were professional and fun. The food, Dj everything that Calamus provided was beyond what we could of imagined. Our guests can’t get over how amazing the wedding was from corn hole, to the scotch and cigar bar to the delicious wines. We can’t thank Calamus enough for letting us have our perfect wedding there.

Wow, we just experienced an evening of the Calamus Star Gazing. The entire evening was fabulous. We started off with a fun and tasty cocktail while we checked out the grounds and games on the back lawn. Picture taking at its finest, the setting was beautiful. We then visited the showroom, tasted and chose our dinner wine, and had The Best buffet dinner, all organized to perfection, thanks to Andrew. It wasn’t intended to be about the food, but it certainly added to our experience. While finishing dinner we had excellent desserts, with many selections. To move a little, we danced to the wonderful band and ventured outside for star gazing. The fires and torches were being lit and the cigars and Double Barrel “William” Reserve were being tasted. This was a well run wedding atmosphere where everyone was happy, laughing and being greeted and attended to every need by Peter and his outstanding family of service attendants. Bravo for this experience and memories. We’re now becoming wine club members as we’ve never been welcomed like this!

My husband and I got married at Calamus September 2022. It was such an amazing experience from the beginning to end. Calamus is such a beautiful winery/venue. A huge thank you to Peter and Makayla & the Calamus team who made our day so perfect.

I had my wedding here in July 2022. It is a beautiful venue and the staff are lovely. Makayla is a dream; she was always there to answer questions when needed, and always entertained my family (even when there was a lot of wine sampling happening). Her driving skills on the RV are top notch and a fun memory for my husband and I.
I was a COVID bride who lives abroad, so they thankfully moved my wedding date from 2021 to 2022.
Makayla always made sure I had a drink in my hand in between the ceremony and reception which was very much appreciated to calm my nerves.
The food was phenomenal. We offered guests a choice between the steak, chicken supreme, and eggplant parmigiana for vegetarians. We chose the caprese salad and pasta rigatoni (family style) for starters. All delicious and raved about by guests.
The smore favours are HUGE and an awesome touch.
Things I would have done differently:
I didn't realize until it was too late that I could have the ceremony earlier. I had it at 5 but wish I would have started at least a half an hour earlier.
Overall, I am happy with my choice of venue and wish I could relive the day!
