Fantastic dealership.. always pleasant, we had several minor warranty issues with our trailer, the owner offered to send out a mobile tech. Issues where not that pressing so at the end of the season I just drop it off at the dealership.. picked up this week, everything was perfect and we are ready for another season!

We recently decided to downsize and try something different. We have owned a number of different RV’s during the last ten years. Most recently, our 30 foot Thor ACE motor home and Fiat 500 tow car took us safely out to the west coast and back on a three month adventure last summer. But, we decided it was time for a change. Dave and his crew at Smithville RV were very accommodating. He took our motorhome and tow car as a trade in on a 2024 Winnebago Micro Minnie trailer. So far, we are loving the transition, and the excellent customer service we have received from Dave and the crew at Smithville RV. We highly recommend them.

Awesome location to purchase a Travel Trailer!

My other half and I were looking around the Niagara region at travel trailers. We stopped at multiple OTHER locations and felt extremely pressured, and felt as if anything we asked would be turned into another thing we could be sold.

After researching a model Smithville RV had in stock (Coachmen Freedom Express 204RD) we stopped in to take a look, and the service sold us! We were able to comfortably look around the trailer, try out any feature we wanted on it and were given space to do so. If we had any questions they were answered with a smile and a great feeling of our best interest in mind.

During our delivery, the technician who walked us through the trailer was awesome! He gave us great advice, tips and tricks for first time owners. Anything we had further questions on he made sure to show us again and explain it in a different way to make sure we wouldn't make any mistakes that could cause safety issues for us, or cause damage to our unit.

Every employee here (Including owner) was amazing. Thank you again for everything, we are excited to continue on with your location for all our future trailer needs!

Anybody shopping in the region for a trailer make sure to consider Smithville RV, other locations may have larger inventory but I assure you the Service is better here!

I had the opportunity to check out 2 large, well known, RV dealerships in the Niagara region. Smithville RV was my third dealership and is significantly smaller. Their service and treatment of customers and potential customers far exceeds that of their larger competitors. My experience was fabulous. You deal directly with the owner and his team and decisions are made on the spot. They care about the customer. My plan was to just shop around for a purchase planned for next spring. After dealing with Dave (owner) and his obvious low pressure and caring attitude I decided that now was the time to make the deal and I did. I have to say that when I first arrived Dave was with another customer so Frank (service technician) showed me the two units I was interested in. Again no pressure but just facts and even pros and cons with each unit openly pointed out. Dave then took over and again made my decision easy. I returned soon after to look at both units with some family and a decision was made. By the way, unlike many dealers, there were no hidden costs. Everything up front. After the purchase was made, delivery and set-up of my Destination trailer took place. The quality of work demonstrated so far has been second to none. I will definitely be a long time supporter and customer of Smithville RV. Thank you Dave and Team.

UPDATED: as mentioned prior, the purchase and delivery process was excellent. Fast forward almost 1.5 years, trailer is in regular use and exposed to the elements. Although I did not experience any major issues as you spend a lot of time in the trailer it is inevitable that you will find things that has yet to be uncovered and of course our awning danced with a door due to what I can only call a less than stellar design by Forest River but, stuff happens. In the end Smithville and their team are responsive and have completed all warranty work and addressed all issues in a timely fashion. Anyone buying a trailer, buy the extended warranty and not because the trailers are of poor quality but because they are so complicated with so many components, combine that with a dealer and service facility like Smithville and you will continue to have a positive camping experience.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: This review is solely based on my experience going through the sales, pre-delivery and delivery process. None of my experience relates to any post sale warranty work.

First off the dealership is not flashy, everything is outdoors without an indoor showroom although all vehicles are accessible to view even those that are earmarked, sold. Plan during a sunny day.

After some initial communication via email we were invited out to view some rigs that met our criteria. Dave and team were accommodating to answer all of our questions. There was nothing pushy about the process which we appreciated and were given space to explore on our own. Important to note, all emails were responded to within a reasonable time frame.

Pricing is very competitive in comparison to other dealers. Where Smithville separates from others is during their PDI and delivery process. The PDI process with Smithville is extremely rigorous. To provide some examples, each HVAC vent is sealed resealed with foil tape, each window is re-caulked and caulked 360 degrees around the window, the windows come horseshoed from the factory, only caulking from the top and top sides. Additionally every element on the rig that requires a weather proof seal is re-caulked, all water connections are verified, electrical is verified, gas is verified as are all appliances. trim, fit and finishing.

We happened to be onsite during a large destination trailer PDI and the unit had tape indicators everywhere this signified to the team that something needed to be fixed, replaced or addressed in some manner. The unfortunate reality, the quality control out of factory is poor which requires a dealer that provides a superb PDI process.

The few items we did find on our own were addressed without concern. We are very happy with our purchase which had begun almost a year ago to date and I would highly recommend working with Dave and his team for the purchase of a new (or used) trailer.
