Amazing experience. We rented a tandem kayak and a recreational kayak to explore the island. The kayaks were clean and comfortable to sit on. And before we venture off, we were given clear instructions on where to go and how to control the kayaks. The water was very calm so it was very relaxing paddling. We got to see the beautiful skyline of CN Tower. And the sight of heron and other wildlife was very exciting. This is one activity we’ll come back again.
Located on Wards Island, not far from the ferry. The staff were nice and helpful. Very easy to book online and fill out the waivers. You don’t have to though, there were plenty of kayaks, tandem kayaks, and SUP even though the other island rental place was completely booked. They have lockers and water proof bags you can rent and a small area to change if you need. The locker key comes on an elastic wristband so you don’t have to bring a bag out on the water if you don’t want to. Beautiful views of the city as well as peaceful and scenic paths with some great wildlife. All in all would definitely recommend, I did not think it was expensive and well worth the money. We had a great time and would definitely use them again next time we are in the area.
Myself and my cousin joined TISUP for the sunset paddle. It was lovely!
Our guide, Lee, set the newbies at ease and also allowed for the more experienced to paddle a bit ahead.
He's a local island resident with all sorts of fun facts!
We heard beaver tails slapping the water, bats and a few herons.
The board lights were super neat. I chose a SUP and my cousin chose a kayak. We both loved our choices.
The night time excursion felt like a fun adventure.
Details: the tour started and ended on time, allowing us to catch the 945 ferry back to the mainland.
The locker we reserved was generous size.
I'd happily go again!
We rented a tandem kayak and spend about 2 hours kayaking around and it was great! The staff were very friendly and efficient. We booked the kayak rental online, the website and booking process was also straightforward.
We arrived at Centre Island terminal which was about a half an hour walk from this place (a very nice walk!), but if you’re looking for a shorter walk it’s closer to the Ward’s Island terminal (around 5ish minutes). Overall, great experience, we’ll definitely go back again!
I rented kayak from here. The rental equipment was of good quality. Since it was my first time kayaking, they taught me basics, helped me get in and out of kayak and provided information about various things which places I could kayak and different parts of island to visit. Overall, nice way of spending quality time in summers in Toronto as views here are beautiful. Would recommend to do this at least once.
