“Impressive and educational There are always several exhibitions in the Japanese Palace on the Elbe and a visit is always worthwhile. The building that houses the museum is impressive enough on its own. The exhibitions, which are presented in the high rooms, are arranged in a modern way and are exciting for everyone between 3 and 100 years of age. It is also interesting for Dresdeners that the museum organizes children's birthday parties and also offers workshop courses for adults. In the Museum of Ethnology, young and old alike get their money's worth while they learn useful ethnological and anthropological facts. It is good that the exhibits, images and texts are varied.”

“This museum (or rather two museums merged in one) is a must see! Incredible venue and neat curatorship. You come here for some hardcore deep history experience, and even their temporary exhibitions are in line with the concept.”

“Both the Museum of Musical Instruments and the Ethnology Museum are great! The Ethnology Museum is in a very interesting situation, as they transition how the present and discuss the past. Definitely thought provoking and great discussions about what a museum can and should be.”

“Nice peaceful place. Well kept. Wish there were sign posts or something explaining how the sun wheel is used? There was a thing that looked like it'd contain pamphlets but but was out. Very pretty surroundings, very tidy. Looks loved. Nice labyrinth as well.”
