Hotel Hacienda Bajamar

Quiet and beautiful Golf ⛳ resort, absolutely loved it! Very tranquil but close enough to the city to get out and do some sight seeing and foodie things!

My husband and I golfed on Dec. 24th and stayed overnight at the hotel in the Bajamar resort. It was most enjoyable, the room was a good size, warmed up nicely, and was quiet. Lots of hot water with good pressure in the shower. The towels weren’t new, but were serviceable. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant was very pleasant, the staff were attentive and experienced.

I have mixed feelings. Breakfast was decent. View is beautiful from the restaurant. The room was cold, it felt old, and did not enjoy it. There is no elevator! Wi-fi never worked. The spa experience was nice.

We had a lovely stay. Our Jr. suite was large and had a separate bedroom one bathroom and a good sized living room with a sofa bed. My in-laws reserved the same type of room but had no room partition and two bathrooms. The shower water had a sulphur smell but the pressure was good. We were on the first level and had a large patio that connected the bedroom and living room. The kitchen was nice with a medium sized refrigerator/freezer. It also had a microwave and coffee maker. Bring your own water to brush your teeth and drink. The building itself is gorgeous and nice for walks. The courtyard is great for social media pics. The staff was friendly and helpful, some spoke English really well and others didn't which is absolutely fine.
The meals were excellent and the Sunday buffet was crazy good with empanadas made from scratch and authentic dishes that you won't really get in the states. They also served the freshest fruit and juices.
The golf course itself is spectacular, the greens were well maintained for the most part, the fairways could use a little love but they were fine. The last 4 holes are right on the edge of the cliffs for some pebble beach level golf. On a clear day you can see the ocean from nearly every hole on that course. The golf amenities such as the carts and practice area were the only downer as they were well past needing updates.
