Just the other day I discovered the culinary treasure that is Fulu in the heart of Amsterdam. Fulu offers an authentic Chinese dining experience that truly stands out in this hustling city. I really didn’t expect to try such delicious Chinese dishes in Amsterdam but Fulu truly was a great surprise!
Fulu’s menu shows their dedication to delivering authentic Chinese flavors. As a devoted foodie, exploring their array of dishes was a thrilling experience. The one I liked most was the Dry-Fried Green Beans. The crispy exterior and tender interior, combined with an exquisite dance of flavors left me craving more. It’s a must-try for anyone seeking a genuine culinary adventure in Amsterdam
Best chinese food in Amsterdam near dam square
Got recommended by the Google map and came directly. The restaurant was fully-packed, but we were lucky enough to be settled into a table by the window within five minutes. The waitor and waitresses were nice and friendly, and the food was really great, the best in Europe I would say. We ordered spicy chicken, roasted fish, dry fried frog legs, which were all very tasty, and got cleared up in no time. Thanks again for google map to recommend me with such a wonderful restaurant. Five stars!
Located several mins walk away from dam square, it's definitely not touristic trap despite its super centered location. The spicy level has been adjusted a bit to local level but still super tasty according to my standard. The portion is generous, especially the roasted whole sea bass - seven dishes fed us seven people quite well.
- We chose gold and silver garlic flavour for sea bass this time. The side veges are unexpectedly great, especially the tofu (can't help to do some features for tofu).
- Tried lamb burritos and fried frog legs with chili peppers for the first time. A bit pricey but affordable - especially frog legs, they are not fishy at all. I'm usually very sensitive to the freshness of meet based on its fragrance and taste. This time both dishes are beyond my expectations!
- Stir-fried shredded potatoes is a nice surprise as well. It's usually pretty hard for a restaurant to make everyone happy with a "normal" dish bc we all know what it should taste like. But this time, all of us agree that the fried potato has lived up to our standards.
5-7pm should be less busier. Highly recommend it to Chinese and other people interested in trying authentic Chinese food.
P.S. The stair might be too narrow and steep for some people.
Recently dined at Fu Lu in Amsterdam, a delightful spot for authentic Chinese cuisine, though be warned - it's popular! Without a reservation, we had a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. Tucked near Dam Square, the restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere. The grilled fish and dry pot bullfrog were standout dishes, full of authentic flavors. One minor note, the entrance steps are a bit narrow, which could be a concern for some. The staff was warm and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. For genuine Chinese flavors in Amsterdam, Fu Lu is a great choice, just remember to book ahead!
Food was great! Coming in from Singapore this was the closest authentic Chinese food I found! The appetizer: steamed chicken dumplings were great. Their main dishes (spicy chicken, steamed fish) were delicious and authentic but one dish I ordered, their fried rice, wasn’t comparable - would be great if they could flavor it more!
And a little cramped at time, restaurant gets busy so it’s tough when tables are quite near each other.
