Delicious dishes! I read the reviews before to see what people recommended. Ordered the shrimp wonton soup and black pepper beef. Both dishes were super tasty! The beef was so soft and the popcorn potatoes were a good addition to the dish! We had a table that was pretty squishy and not enough room, but the kind and attentive staff made it worth it
All Food are hygiene and best test of Asian style food especially for someone who miss tasty Asian meal with the oily chilly sources for hot and spicy dishes. I recommend this for all.
For the staff, they are welcome and willing to help you to suggest for your favorite food with Asian smile.
The shop rather small but can be supported for 60 people, but the table and chairs are bit small.
Anyway, I recommend this shop.
The best Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam, hands down. Order the garlic and salted squid and the eggplant with fish fillet and kangkong with oyster garlic sauce. Order these with their home made iced lemon tea. This meal will change your life. And Rik is a cool amazing guy who will greet you with a smile! We have eaten here more than 5 times in the last 6 months. Their food is a love letter to Chinese cuisine.
We stopped here specifically because there was a sign out front that indicated they accepted American Express for payment.
We ordered the soup noodles and we each had different noodles. The food was good. It wasn’t bland. Lots of flavour.
The service was good as well. This place seems to be busy as there were a few people coming and going. It was nice.
Overall, we may come back the next time we’re in Amsterdam.
New king in Amsterdam is one of the few restaurants where I can eat every week and I would not get bored of the dishes. They serve authentic Chinese food and the portion sizes are generous. I recommend the Sui Kau Soup, the Squid w/ Salt & Pepper and the Black Pepper Tenderloin. The service is great and the restaurant is cozy. You cannot make a reservation here and there is a first come first serve waiting list on busy days. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Chinese food or wants to give it a try!
