TOZI Restaurant & Bar, Vondelpark

Went yesterday for the first time with some friends and the food was amazing. The kitchen is open so you can see how they prepare everything and I find it so nice. The waiters are also super friendly and professional and the atmosphere is very chic. Think this will be one of my favourite restaurants in Amsterdam form now :)

Very very small portions for simple Italian food, and the waitress with the glasses was very passive aggressive. She took a long time to give us the bill even though there were very few tables and 3 waiters. Overall good experience though, would be five stars without the passive aggressive waitress and bigger sharing portions (tiny steak for €64). As a Waiter myself in London, 4 waiters would manage 60 tables in a busy Michelin Guide Restaurant (Bancone). No matter how stressed or frustrated we would get at the customers, I would always be smiling.

I had an amazing experience at Tozi. The service was great from start to finish. Our waitress was super helpful and sweet. The food was also lovely. My favourite was definitely the cacio e pepe pasta with truffles, I believe that is the best cacio e pepe I ever had! The mozzarella salad was okay, but not really a favourite of mine. I also tried a sour cocktail and that one was delicious. I ended with a nonalcoholic espresso martini, that one tasted a bit weird actually ( probably because it was missing the key ingredient to be fair), so I didn’t finish it.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience!
