“Good address for HK dim sum, roast duck, wonton soups and noodle soups. The iced lemon tea and cold milk tea were quite authentic. The staff speak Cantonese which was a good sign. Hope to return to check out the wok hei in the stir fries. Appreciate the fact that we could reserve online.”

“The service by the staff was very warm and welcoming. It was so comforting having authentic Chinese cuisine with actual mala spices. I did wish it was spicier but I think it more suited to local taste. We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, especially the mala chicken. Would recommend trying if you are in the mood for Chinese!”

“This hotel is much more charming than the photos. Especially the rooms. Had a room with a tub and that was nice. The furniture is a nice design. There’s a great selection of teas and coffees in the room. Some major points are lost on lack of body wash, ironing board and mini fridge. Tried getting a chair for the shower and there’s only 1 for the whole hotel. Be prepared to take stairs starting with the entrance. It is not an accessible hotel. Whatever you do avoid the restaurant, food took over n hour to show up and was very mediocre and dry. Not worth €90 for 2 lunches.”

“I was a bit unsure of this place as it seemed to be in a heavy tourist area and I prefer to find more unique restaurants. We decided to eat here anyway as it was getting late and we were not disappointed. The steak and spicy burger were lovely. Drinks service was a tad slow. Prices very very reasonable. €45 euro for a starter, 2 mains and 3 drinks”

“Feel the family restaurant vibes with this authentic Eritrean/Ethiopian restaurant. Cute loungy interior, the food is delicious and the servings are generous. The lamb dish was delicious.”

“Great experience and nice service! Everyone is welcoming and friendly. The fish market concept is very good, and all seafood is fresh and delicious. We’re amazed by the grilled octopus! And they’re wine selection is also broad and in a acceptable price. A good place to welcome your friends who come to visit.”

“This was honesty some of the best food my partner and I have ever had, extremely authentic, and we left completely satisfied. Every dish was impeccable, staff were extremely friendly and service was great, location and ambiance are spot on, and quite affordable for what you get! I’ve never had eggplant or cauliflower this good, and the presentation of every dish was amazing. Unfortunately my partner and I are just visiting, otherwise we would both definitely be regulars here. Fantastic vegan options, would highly recommend to vegans and vegetarians. Don’t miss this place!”

“I eat fish almost every day of my life and every time I am in Amsterdam I stop at as many stalls as I can for some herring or mackerel or whatever I am in the mood for. This time I had a mackerel sandwich with a healthy serving of mayo too. I loved every bit of it from the smell to the taste. The fish has that pickled preserved flavor that is strong and balances the fish flavor a bit, the mayo brings a creamy texture to the dish and the bread is merely a vehicle for the fantastic fish. I’ve also had the herring too and would obviously recommend it.”

“Delicious Chinese beer with the amazing companion of noodles soup with shrimps dumplings, what else can I ask after a long day of work?? I totally recommend it, we did not have to wait to long for our dishes and the atmosphere is very calm and quiet with darker colors and candle light. I will come back very soon.”

“Very delicious noodles and wonton soup with authentic home made taste from Indonesia. Aries himself cooking the food is a very friendly and humorous guy. Aries Noodles is worth a visit.”

“I usually go to "old" Albina but also like new Albina. I recently visited and noticed an increase in the quality of the food. The restaurant is run by relatives of "old Albina". The concept is identical and the menu is very large containing surniami, cantonese and dutch chinese dishes. Moksi meti is always very good and recommended. Setting is simple but cozy and prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.”

“Really nice an cozy place, friendly staff and great food. Unfortunately, we had to wait a little to get the food but we got a discount as a compensation for the wait :) (Note:they only take card, we had some problems, but if you have the exact amount in cash it should be ok)”

“I happened to walk into this restaurant more by accident than deliberately... but I am appy I did. The reception and service were super friendly and helpful. There a few things I can't eat, so I had to be a bit picky, but the staff was very knowledgable there. And so it happened that I had some new tasty sensations. The spicy squid was nice to start with (though not so spicy), the spring roll (double packed) was very tasty, but wow... the tofu (was it?) with the century egg was so delicious, I could eat a bucket of it! Then some veggies in garlic sauce with plain rice... simple but good. I could have easily have more from the menu, but then I would've just exploded. I don't understand some of the negative reviews here... but I think some people have wrong expectations or they choose only what they know and just like to complain. Same as the service... it was excellent. So yes, I recommend! And if I'm ever in the area again, I'd happily come back...”

“The coffee here was the best I had yet in amsterdam. The iced maple coffee was super good and not too sweet. I got the Jacob combo and the potatoes were good, the flavors balanced well. My toast was incredibly crispy on the edges but soft on the Inside, making a delicious combo. The eggs are cooked to perfection. An incredible dish for sure!”

“Best meal in Amsterdam. Fantastic food, innovative, exciting flavours, magical presentation. This family owned business is amazing and has been around f100s of years. Yet food is modern and spectacularly presented. Tjis young chef is a magician!!”

“We got the duck with pancakes, sweet and sour chicken and shrimp dumplings. The duck was amazing, the skin was crispy and the meat was moist. The chicken was also good! The dumplings were okay, but the shrimp inside was very mushy. The service is very quick and our waiter was super kind too. Overall I would definitely visit again!”

“Good breakfast spot. It is pretty popular so you might have to wait in line a little bit, especially if you want to seat outside on a sunny day. The eggs Benedict with salmon was good. I personally feel that they could have put more salmon and Hollandaise sauce for the price. The eggs could be a bit larger as well. What they do it put everything onto one bun and leave the other bun lying next to the main dish. Obviously if they spread everything onto two buns, it would look quite modest. What I liked is that they serve some fresh salad on the side. The coffee was good but also a bit overpriced. Overall no regrets but I would probably try another place next time”

“Amsterdam- Some of the best Japanese food in Amsterdam. The only thing they don’t carry is sushi. But everything in this restaurant is tasty. I lived in Japan for three years and I know good quality Japanese food, and they have good quality. The Ramen was especially good! But everything in the pictures I ordered was great, so I would highly suggest ordering anything from the pictures below.”

“This was one of a few times I’ve eaten at a 2 star Michelin restaurant so I expected nothing but perfection and that is exactly what we got in almost every area. The food was delish and fresh and every course was better than the last. The service was out of this world and such a well oiled machine. We loved the part where we were brought back to the chefs table area too such a nice touch. The ONLY major downside I would give this (fully well understanding the length of some of these meals) was that it just felt way too long as the entire dinner experience was over 3.5 hours in total.”

“Cool place to try a variety of house brewed beers, we had a taster plate with 5 small beers and the summer special. They also offer snacks and the location is easily accessible by tram. We walked around 30min from central. Prices are fine.”

“Staff was very kind and welcoming. We were there for a lunch with sharing some plates. Baby leeks plate was the queen of our table! Pizza is very thin and delicious. We also liked the crispy shrimps. Asparagus wasn’t flavored enough as we expected but overall our experience is very good.”

“Best Turkish restaurant I've ever been to (and I have been to quite a few in and out of England)! Service was A-class! They treat their customers with utter respect and warmth! Discovered this little gem in the heart of Amsterdam on our 2nd night and we stuck to dinners there for all our nights during our Amsterdam trip! Just a short walk from Anne Frank House and a lovely spot by the canals. Restaurant is clean, there's inside as well as outside seating. Menu has lots of options and its halal. Food is fresh and well prepared! You can tell a lot of effort goes into giving customers the true taste of Turkish cuisine! Prices are outstanding! Portion sizes are really good! I would highly recommend! On our final night (staff weren't aware it was our final night in Amsterdam), the staff made our night...we got a treat from the kitchen...some lovely Turkish tea with baklava!”

“Nice day, nice little Cafe! Server was extremely busy but was still very cheerful. I bought a sparkling lemon tea and was recommended the apple pie with cream. The apple pie did not disappoint at all. Wasn't there for long. Only stopped for a snack and to rest my legs but was a positive experience 👍”
