Beautiful gardens and a fascinating museum including old bicycles and loads of interesting facts about Harlow
Great place to take children- Dressing up stuff so they can really get into local history
A lovely museum. We visited on a free entrance day. The gardens are gorgeous on a sunny day. We attended whilst there was an event on discussing the history of photography in Harlow, it was very interesting and great to meet the individuals there. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The museum has a little cafe which is a nice touch.
Overall, it was a really nice visit and far better than we had expected.
My husband and I visited today.
6th October.
Really lovely little place.
The 3 people who worked there were friendly and helpful.
The lady in the black jumper, telling us about the history and exhibition the other lady with the glasses who was on the computer and the guy with the blue top who's zip broke, thankyou for such a nice day.
I thought such helpful and nice people.
It was a good experience of the Museum and a really good day.
My heartfelt thanks ????
Here you will find several beautiful and peaceful walled gardens, including a Knot Garden, plus a fascinating little museum and cafe. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. This museum also has an active programme of community involvement. A hidden gem and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
The new cycling exhibition in fantastic. There are loads of vintage and classic bikes on display allowing you to see how the concepts of designing a bike that we now take for granted have evolved. It also has the story of John Collins (a local bike shop owner) who put the collection together. Its Definitely worth a visit.
