At the time of my first appointment, I was in so much pain from my back that I could hardly walk. On the bus I would have to start trying to stand a stop before my stop, so that I could get up. I am not that old -47 years old - but my back was in such a state, I was like an old man moving. After the first session (which was a lot cheaper than anywhere else I have been), the pain had almost gone. After one more session the pain had basically disappeared.
