Address: Croham Rd, South Croydon CR2 7HJ, UK
“A lovely wood for walking the dog or with the kids, and a couple of nice West-facing views. Not a huge area - an outer loop takes less than an hour - but multiple paths mean a good length of walk without ever covering the same ground twice is easily possible. Worth noting that there are several reasonably steep slopes, and due to the combination of exposed roots and pebbly ground going can be somewhat treacherous in places, especially when wet. A little bit of history to be spotted here & there, including the site of a bronze age barrow (not much to actually see, but there is a plaque), and some vintage Croydon parish markers.”
