Orangery Café

Lovely views over the old walled garden and great food. What more can you ask?

Saturday at 4.00pm they had run out of scones cake and biscuits for afternoon tea somewhat disappointing. I guess this was due to high visitor numbers but a shame non the less. Still clean environment and attentive friendly staff. Toilets clean but basic.

The two soups of the day were really tasty, the cake table looked a bit tired and both the Victoria sponge and the flapjack didn't taste nor look as freshly baked in house as they claim....lovely space to enjoy a cuppa though

It's a National Trust cafe, so reliably decent, not fantastically exciting cafe fare. Good size, lots of seating outside when it's sunny and very pretty location by the vegetable garden. Toilets in the cafe, plus a library area slightly separate to lounge on sofas

Lovely setting. Delight to be there. Ham house . A nice Thames pathway walk from Richmond. The orangery was originally used for winter protection of delicate plants. Worth being a NT member to be able to just access cafe even if no time to visit house.
