“A thoroughly stocked shop with pretty much anything you need hair related. I only really buy colourful hair dyes from paks and this one has an extensive collection for shockingly low prices. However the shop doesn't seem to be open when it says it will be so if you're going don't expect a 9am start!”

“Great for essentials like rice, couscous, beans, dates and big tubs of tahini paste. And they make really good fresh falafel right in the shop - so cheap and tasty!”

“Joe is a very talented man! The studio offers a great balance between being open to any ideas you have, and offering creative and professional advice to custom pieces. The studio is spotless, friendly, relaxed. The pretence free attitude definitely a nice change from various other places I've been. Fully worth a visit. Stacey.”

“I had been to Spicy Basil once a few years ago, and although it was the spiciest food I had ever eaten, I found myself craving it over the years until I took my friend who had never been the other day. Its got a home food environment feel upstairs, busy, no fuss and quite crowded. Downstairs is a calm restaurant type room with comfortable seating. We ordered the spicy egg noodles with chicken as well as chicken satay and prawn spring rolls for starters. The satay sauce was too much on the peanut side for us, and the chicken skewers although lovely and moist, were a little bland. Spring rolls were nice and crispy. The noodle dish was delicious, although not as spicy as I expected or as I remembered. Plenty of moist chicken pieces and vegetables. The portion is generous and was enough for a takeaway box. A lovely place for no fuss moreish food and cheap prices.”

“The ability of my children to break their phones is, luckily for them, matched by the ability of this shop to fix them. And luckily for me the repairs have been very reasonably priced. A friendly and efficient service. Lloyd ”
