“Newly opened, modern halal cafe located in East London. Ordered breakfast 3 which was very filling and good value for money and food wasn’t too greasy either which is a bonus when you’re calorie counting.”

“Love this place! I go all the time and the coffee is great. Tapas takeover Thursday night also excellent and they do film showings on first Thursday of month. Staff are also super friendly. Only complaint is they need to expand the lunch offering (although the chorizo pot is excellent).”

“Five stars. The best cafe in Waltham Forest. You can easily tell by the number of builders and old bill in there!”

“I would like to give my heart felt thanks to the owner of this cafe and his lovely staff. I would also like to apologise. I had a bad morning at a hotel I’d booked to enable me to go early to the American embassy to try to register my children as citizens. I had a suitcase and the embassy said I couldn’t go in with it. This cafe provides a service which no one else offered. The American embassy with all its fancy high profile and expensive security on this occasion came rock bottom whilst this superb cafe soared high!! I was very upset and the staff were gentle and kind. I paid my money. When I came back, the same lovely staff members said a lovely man had paid for my suitcase to be stored. He’d had a bad morning at the embassy also. I hope you read this Sir, you and this cafe give me hope that we are all still human and despite what life throws at us there is selfless kindness and people care about each other. Ten pound is cheap and the other chap who reviewed previously on here obviously doesn’t realise the value he missed. Thank you District Cafe you deserve a 500 Gold Star standard!!xxx”

“Took a stroll yesterday. Had a coffee and a slice of delicious ginger cake. Decided to take it up stairs in the gallery. Very very relaxing wonderful historic building and surround. I have kind of got a bit fed up of so many coffee shops. This one is for me. Not on busy high road just the perfect place to unwind and relax . Great for quiet meet up with couple of friends. Idyllic. Well places and lovely staff. Thank you”

“Ok. Fast service. Nice location to sit outside. Food more than acceptable. Inside is very clean, nice and modern. Can't put my finger on it but don't really like the layout and it seems noisy in there like the acoustics are wrong. But it's a cafe and primarily you are going to eat and the food is good.”
