“Beautiful village church with many different sized bright stained glass windows, all around the church depicting many different scenes from the Bible. Traditional wooden bench pews face the altar inside, it has a beautiful stone font in the middle/towards the back of the church. When Wil holds a baptism he makes sure everyone can see it by displaying it on the projector screen at the front of the church. The projector is also used to display notices at the beginning and end of services and for hymn words for people to use to sing along to so you don't need a hymn book or anything. Very modern and simple. Wil is an excellent vicar who takes care of the church, it's surroundings and its parish extremely well, holding as many different groups, meetings and family days as possible in order to spread the word of God to the best of his ability. St Margarets is a wonderful place because of him and his family. The church itself is well maintained by a group of willing volunteers on a regular Rota basis, all make it look warm and welcoming. The churchyard is also well kept by a lovely group of hard workers who volunteer their time every week, many of them have done for many years. This treasured church really is the heart of the community, even if it is a little tucked away down a long lane, maybe that's what makes it even more special.”

“An outstanding medieval church where I'm pleased to say my family have been using since 1840's. Both my children baptised here. With links to General Gordon of Khartoum and Charles Dickens.”
