“Amazing venue for private parties. Used to be a truckers cafe but now closed. Does occasional parties. It is out of the way so no noise issues. We had a great live band playing until midnight with a DO as well. They can cater or you can do it yourself. Really nice and friendly hosts and allowed us to have what we wanted. Already known by the horse riding and road cycling community, they are tucked round the back at Speedg ate Enterprises, ostensibly a riding yard and major stockists of feeds, bedding and riding clothes, boots etc. BUT pop round to the cafe and you enter an oasis of home calm, good food and super friendly service. Loos are not on site but round the corner on the yard. Not a good place for dogs unless they are well trained to understand horses. Seating is provided outside too so those who smoke can gave a quick one in the fresh air. This place is worth stopping in!”

“This was our first visit to this cafe. Ordered our breakfasts at the counter and the girl serving said she'd bring our drinks over then proceeded to chat on her phone and to her friend who was waiting for take away. Asked twice if we could get our drinks and after 20 minutes, just as we were going to walk out our food arrived so I asked this lady if i could finally get my coffee and she brought it straight away. The food was quite simply the best fry up I've had in years, beautifully cooked, fresh, tasty and piping hot and this will be our go to cafe from now on, just hoping counter hitch was a one off and not the normal level of service, 20 minutes wait for a coffee is not good but the quality of the food definitely made up for it.”
