  Saw a glowing review of this lovely Coffee / Gift Shop mentioned in the Dorking Advertiser. So thought we'd check it out. The Building is old and timber framed. With lots of beams on display inside the shop. The host was friendly, but deaf, so hadn't noticed us until we approached the counter. Unfortunately we didn't actually arrive until nearly 4 pm on a Weekday. By which time the kitchen had closed. So we were offered a Salmon Quiche, or a selection of various Cakes or Scones. We chose the huge fruit scones, which were delicious warmed up. Washed down with a nice Latte. One thing to note is that you must pay cash, as there are no facilities for payment by credit card.

  Beautiful quaint cafe with gorgeous food. Lovely atmosphere and relaxed

  A great coffee shop with amazingly friendly staff - I was lucky enough to get a free cake, which was a blessing on a day like today! I often cycle through the village and will definitely pop by again; the gentleman who served me was very kind

  Wow - I LOVED IT - my first time here and I took my friend as a birthday treat (Belated, but so be it - we had both been poorly previously).
  Such a dainty + quirky place, so relaxed and calm ~ ‘an idyllic place to hibernate when everything on the outside gets too tough’ ~ Lamingtons ???? It took me, my friend and my mother a little while for all the pieces to fall in to place - to realise why our original phone calls to ‘book’ the table were not answered but we were instead responded to by text and asked to communicate via text message instead of calling.. and why it was so quiet in the cafe and then... OH, ???? mostly everyone is making signs with their hands... everyone apart from two other ladies at the table beside us and the party of three including me! But boy when the penny finally dropped, it made our visit all the more significant, it gave our day more reason and our lives more purpose. The magic of Lamingtons is something you have to experience for yourself....
  Advice *do book via text message to ensure you do not face disappointment if you just turn up. It can get busy and full up easily at times*

  We went on Sunday. Deaf group ate Afternoon Tea. Communication was no issue as Mohamed (Deaf member of staff) is a British Sign Language user. He was brilliant, really took care of all his customers. He is polite and extremely helpful.
  
  We will DEFINITELY return. Delicious food at a good price.
