    Lovely welcoming pub.Went there for Christmas Day meal and the food sevice and staff were excellent

    Late lunch with family today. Rang The George. "We close at 3pm". Hmmm....no good for us. Rang T.O.B. "Yes, table for 6 at 3pm no problem. Haven't been for some years. Well, such a change. Nice friendly staff there. Ordered food. Served in good time, pleasantly, AND ALL NICE AND HOT. I don't expect we'll revisit The George again.There's no need. T.O.B. will be our first choice from now. Gillian and Eli made us feel very welcome. Thanks to you all. Did I say lovely food? "Lovely food" :-)

    I love a good Sunday roast, and you can't beat the Old Bell in Oxted. Lovely pub, in a great location. Staff are really nice and friendly. Having eaten in a Chef and Brewer before (in the New Forest), I was initially a little hesitant about taking the whole family down for a birthday lunch, but it seems each pub does differ. The Old Bell have a new chef and the food was excellent. I had the seared scallops to start and the lamb shoulder for main. Nothing to complain about, really good food and very well cooked. Will definitely be going back.
