“Impromptu Saturday night meal with friends and found a cosy and welcoming atmosphere for a cold autumn evening with a nice open fire. After a slightly awkward start with the waitress that was immediately addressed by the manager we went on to have a superb evening. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We treated ourselves to cocktails that were provided by the friendly barman.”

“I love a good Sunday roast, and you can't beat the Old Bell in Oxted. Lovely pub, in a great location. Staff are really nice and friendly. Having eaten in a Chef and Brewer before (in the New Forest), I was initially a little hesitant about taking the whole family down for a birthday lunch, but it seems each pub does differ. The Old Bell have a new chef and the food was excellent. I had the seared scallops to start and the lamb shoulder for main. Nothing to complain about, really good food and very well cooked. Will definitely be going back.”
