“Not a hugely regular visitor, maybe a couple of times a year, usually during busy holiday season, traveling with the family. On those occasions, has been remarkably hassle free, even very good. To be fair, I suppose Gatwick has decades of dealing with high volumes of low cost (charter) passengers, but it shows. -Dedicated family security channel (which is brilliant) -Plenty of places to sit -Clean and tidy -No set down charges (yet) Knocks spots off Stansted, I mean a different league. It's biggest issue is infrastructure and that single runway. It is more vulnerable than the less busy Stansted and Luton to delays. But there are definitely worse airports to be stuck at. Cough. Stansted. Cough. I'll start making an effort to choose Gatwick.”
