“Three of my children go to the location in the Roebuck/Centerpoint area. I must say that the Owner all the way down to the teachers are amazing. My children are learning new things daily and they keep you updated on all things. I am grateful to them for being apart of the village that it takes to raise/nurture children. Gratitude✨”

“Didn't attend Green Acres Middle School. I DID attend the former Green Acres Elementary School from 1976 to 1981. I count those as some of the MOST bittersweet years of my, then, young life. As I am Gay, I was teased & outright BULLIED so very much, during Elementary & Junior high school, that (though I had a natural thirst for knowledge) I would cry, beg & plead with my mother to not have to go to school. And, this bullying did NOT end with my fellow classmates. NO. Teachers & other parents were involved, as well. I pray that the Birmingham City School System has made SOME progress in the area of bullying & HOW it is dealt with, since those days, for the sakes of other students like myself.”

“In response to a previous review.. of course you can't just visit your child any time of day for however long. This is a public school, not a daycare. They have to consider safety for all of the children, not just yours! Oh my.. I would have given them four stars if there wasn't a need to balance out the review mentioned above.”

“I attended an accelerated learning program there from 1960 to '63. We had the same teacher and the same students for the entire period. It was great. We spent little time the classroom and went on a lot of field trips all over the state. We had unusual classes like communications and art and music. It was one of the most positive educational experiences I've ever had. I still think about and miss those people.”

“This is one of the community's Public Schools. It is a middle school. My grandson attended this school 8 years ago. It was a wonderful school than. My grandson left there and went on to Leeds High and graduated with honors and a scholarship. He is now working on a Master's degree at Jacksonville College and once again he was awarded a full scholarship. This is the result of a good foundation from the lower grade levels. Smith Middle School provide a good deal of that foundation. I remember how organized, and caring the staff and principal were. I do hope they have maintained that same quality of educating the youth they are in charge of today.”
