(September 12, 2020, 11:06 pm)I’ve been lucky to have never broken any bones or needed an orthopedic doctor. Unfortunately, my fourteen year old injured his shins in football practice and I mistakenly assumed his pain was a result of his inactivity and would fade. I remembered seeing the ad that OS1 opened in Hoover and was open on Saturdays.
We arrived and were quickly seen by Dr. Chris Williams. I was very impressed with his thoroughness and time discussing my sons injury. Not only is Dr. Williams very knowledgeable but is an all-around genuine person. We followed his instructions and followed up with him over the 6-8 week period.
It was the most positive “urgent care” visit I had experienced and believe that was due to Dr. Williams.

(June 26, 2020, 1:25 pm)Our little boys were playing, and my older son twisted my younger son’s arm the wrong way. After ice, Motrin and rest, he was still crying and in a lot of pain. I called OS1 and asked if they took 4yo’s because we needed immediate help. They told us to come right in. Once we got there, they sent us straight back and Brian took a look at his arm. He diagnosed it as nursemaids elbow and was able to ‘pop’ the ligament back in place in no time. We were in and out in less than 30min. Brian had such a great bedside manner and was great with my little one. The place was so clean and nice, and the staff went above and beyond to make my little boy feel comfortable. I hope we don’t have too many more injuries in our future, but if we do, we will definitely come back here instead of heading to the ER!
