“I went to Knithappenz today, with my mom, looking to just see what they had. I walked out with two bags full of yarn, as well as 3 crochet hooks that I’d never used and figured I’d add to my collection. I’d never been in a yarn specialty store before and I was so glad I went. Everyone there was so pleasant, helpful, polite, and funny too. They made sure to ask me if needed help without being “too helpful” and were just so nice. They gave great suggestions and even made sure I was going to like a certain style crochet hook, because they hadn’t enjoyed it as much (Which tells me they’d rather have a happy customer than a sale, that’s an honest and great business.) I really enjoyed going to their store. I wish I lived in Birmingham so I could give them my business more often. I know I will call them in the future and see if they have a colorway in stock they can ship to me in Orlando in Berroco, Plymouth, Sirdir, or some of the other brands they carry! I made sure to note what they had because I would much rather give my yarn $$$ to such great people and such a great, small business than a stranger on the internet or a chain craft store. Also I was super impressed with their prices. Two of the three crochet hooks I bought, I’d been looking at on Amazon and Knithappenz was $3-5 cheaper. Their yarn was well priced and well stocked. They even offered to wind some hanks for me. I will 100% be a repeat customer (possibly before I even go home next week).”
