“Took my daughter, 5 years old, to the Claire’s in the Bessemer Walmart to get her ears pierced yesterday, 1/16/21. The young girl doing the piercing and the only one working in the Claire’s at the time was AMAZING! You could not ask for a better young lady to work with. She was so kind and understanding with our very nervous daughter as it was her first time getting her ears pierced. So the thought of needles scared her. She thoroughly explained everything to her and was so determined to make sure that the piercings were going to be even. On top of all of that, she worked diligently to checkout other customers who were buying stuff and waiting in line to checkout. When I figure out her name, I will post it so others can recognize her. This woman NEEDS a raise. She deserves it!”

“I gave this DG 5 stars on my last visit but today the store wasn't in the same great shape as before. The cooler / freezer area wasn't stocked as well (no deli sliced turkey for sandwiches) and the coffee creamer meant to be kept cold was stocked on the shelves. Hopefully they'll chalk it up to waste because even if they transferred the creamers back to the cooler now, they have already met the criteria and have the potential to make people sick. District management should really go over the proper food safety guidelines with the staff. The MOD was very friendly and this store would have gotten 5 stars from me had it not been for the creamers being improperly stored.”

Jeff was able to replace a battery in one of my favorite watches. I know it sounds simple, but several jewelers and watch repairers tried and failed to remove the back of the watch to replace the battery.”

The employees are always friendly and now they added self checkout but I wish all 4 of the self checkouts took cash and cards. They are always stocked with merchandise and they have the best meats because they are the beef people. Good selection of everything from toys to home goods to personal items to food, small clothing items, just about anything else you can think of. Generally, your bill should be less costly than other stores and it is open later than anywhere else except for those that are open 24 hours.
