Academy Sports + Outdoors

I went there for socks. They had what I wanted. The staff I dealt with were friendly, polite, courteous and helpful. I enjoyed my experience today. I am grateful the cashier asked me if I qualified for certain discounts. I asked if being a veteran counts. She said yes I showed her my VA patient card and saved 10%. Better than that I saved slightly on sales tax and that always brightens my day!!

I am a hiker and I usually check academy first for outdoor gear. Big store with lots of product, yet somehow plenty of space on the shelves. Also a good place to look for sporting goods ofcourse. Prices are good and they price match or beat advertised prices from competitors.
