Rusted Roof Barn

I started taking lessons here about three years ago. Since the start, I’ve been welcomed, taught, and challenged. The trails are wonderful, beautiful and peaceful. Heather and Scott are quite possibly the best barn owners out there. They go above and beyond to care for all their horses, students, trail riders, and boarders.
Amy is an excellent instructor- she’s adaptable and kind, and knows the right way to challenge every student to be better.
I recently got a horse and have been boarding her here. Shes my first horse, and everyone has been so helpful in helping me adapt to horse ownership.
I could go on about the many experiences I’ve had here- all quite good- but I think I’ll leave it at this: Rusted Roof isn’t just a barn- it’s a home, and a family (a dang good one at that!)

Wonderful place to ride! Our daughter & grandchildren love to come here when they visit. Very enjoyable & horses are very well taken care of as well as we are while there. Thank you for making this a trip for us to remember.

Planning a fun day at Oak mountain state park starts with a horseback ride at Rusted Roof barn. The owners are great and make my husband and I feel welcome. The horses are amazing and calm. The ride itself is wonderful and being out in the woods on a horse is very calming. This group of riders were very diverse so that made it for me who just moved to the US even more fun. My very heavy Caribbean accent was no problem for the owners and that was a great plus! My husband and I def. going back soon because I am a horse lover. I think about taking lessons at Rusted Roof, so good was my experience!

Amazing experience!!! The horses were so good, well trained, and the owners were very nice and helped alot. I recommend this place for any first timers. Absolutely awesome and my girlfriend was so happy to get to ride Joe for her first time riding, he made her feel comfortable. Definitely will be back!
